About Mass Effect 3...

Warning: very long post ahead.
Thoughts about ME3’s final sequences – choices and consequences
I had some thoughts about the final stages of the game. I liked the ending, but I wanted it to have more information on the choices the protagonist (=players) made throughout the entire series. I’d like to ...

Re: Mech Fans - Check out Hawken.

How much will it cost?
Hawken will be a downloadable free-to-play title. Yes, you can play for free. There will be in game purchases that will allow greater customization and more weapon variety.

Re: Isn't it too late for suggestions?

I'm not referring to your naval adventures proposition, but I get the constant feel that many users suggest things for the sake of suggesting something that nobody else has posted before (yay first suggestion yay!) or because they've seen it somewhere else, totally ignoring the current game ...

Re: Fatigue would increase the body management strategy

I would go for one more side bar, maximum. There are lots of side-stats who would increase game strategy: Tireness, sanity, overall mood, days without taking a bath/backrub etc. But please do keep in mind that too many "crippling" bars in a game make it more look like a Sim game, not an RPG.

There ...

Re: 'Wishlist' Focus: Creatures You'd Like To See in Book II

Hmmm...monsters...

Rust monsters

Liches

Will 'o' wisps

Alien abominations

Golems-Gargoyles

Invisible stalkers

Gorgons

Basilisks

..And definitely NOT Orcs/Elves. Not again.

Isn't it too late for suggestions?

I see many interesting posts for many things like wishes and ideas. But at some point we should all take into account the fact that the game should have been under development for some time now. If that's the case, it means that many user requests/ideas are quite pointless, because programmers don't ...

Re: A little something I'm working on

Use Poser for animating characters. It's slow and buggy and crashes all the time, but you can get the job done.

For the AI: Game Maker has some built-in functions like pathfinding for example. But creating an AI and over 800 frames of animation and making them work together requires some work. Here ...

A little something I'm working on

It's a combat system for a game I'm making. Lots of animations and possible moves for both the AI and the player. I was inspired by Mass Effect 2 :)

It's still in early development. No fancy graphics yet, and sprites were rendered in poser in Preview mode ...

Re: COMPREHENSIVE Book III 'Wishlist' (List form)

I'm copying this from an older thread.

Identified items stay identified. Why having to pay a merchant 10 times to identify a simple piece of dried meat? If this upsets the Lore skill balace, there are 2 ways to rectify this: a) Powerful unID'd items should always need identification if one fails ...

Re: Metal Venture

Thank you,

The game will be featured in the next issue of Computerbild Spiele, a german PC Magazine, according to an email I received. Also, it made it into Softpedia, and I didn't even apply :)

BasiliskWrangler wrote:I just gave this a whirl- very nice! What did you use to make this?
Game Maker 7. 3D renders and graphics in general were made with Poser 7 and Bryce 6. Also used Photoshop CS2.

Donleon wrote::( you think about doin'g a version for mac too?
No :( I'm not sure this is even possible for Game Maker games.

Metal Venture

Greetings,

After a year and a half in development, Metal Venture is finally ready. It's the largest project I've worked on so far. This game is a top-down shooter, inspired from the Robokill flash game, but different in many ways. A world with a story, consisting of 9 levels is included ...

Understood. I thought that it was "yours".
