At one point there was talk of buying directly from BW and getting a CD with a map, etc. I am hoping that is still going to be an option............
I hope so too, I love box goodies and would pay extra even for a printed ...

Re: The Best 10 RPGs of all time!
I see the Avernum & Geneforge games getting lots of love here. I'm embarrassed to say I've never played any of the Exile/Avernum or Geneforge games. That's something I'm going to have to rectify especially since I care much more about story & depth rather than fancy graphics/effects.

Seem like good ideas to me Rune. Now if only I didnt have a full time job and had money to fund a game we could start one!

I like that idea Rune.
I think the main problem though is no developer is normally going to create these modules ahead of time not knowing if anyone will buy them....at least that would be the question.
I have always felt that the owners of D&D should make a game engine and them put it in the ...

Re: DRM, again...
This saddens me....If you like a game allow the developer to get paid for it!
It's alot of work to make a game especially an RPG game (I have tried to make a couple and didnt have the time) so if you like the game let them get paid for it!
Sure hate to see PC RPG's die, hope they never do....now ...

It reminds me of those horrific Anne Geddes concoctions I was so often exposed to back in the late 90's.

Re: Cool RPG features you want to see again.
Good topic Rune...I agree with those you listed and I would add:
1) Turn based combat obviously
2) World interactivity. Since the switch to 3D this is almost completely gone. Play Ultima VII or Divine Divinity and you can pick up almost any object and mess with it.
Im sure there are others but ...

Re: Current... Distractions.
I keep getting sucked into Mount & Blade mods, been playing Europe 1200 lately....its similar to the original game but with all of Europe circa 1200 included...very awesome.
Oh yea and they have been running re-runs on the 80's tv Show "V" lately, god I loved that show.
