Re: Grammar and Spelling Mistakes - Book III Spells

It draws on the organic elements around the caster[ _ ]- the tiny insects, moss, fungi, seeds and spores[ _ ]- which combine together into a sticky, lumpy paste. Everything from your list has been changed save for this because I don't understand what you suggest. Could you explain it again please? ...

Grammar and Spelling Mistakes - Book III Spells

The following, originally planned for use by BW and now intended for use by PM, is a list I've found of the errors (or suggestions for improvement) in spell descriptions in Book III. If a spell is not listed here, it is because its spell description is considered (by me) to contain no errors. Errors...

Re: Grammar and Spelling Mistakes - Part I

A request to PM: I know you prefer things like "400 gold pieces" spelled out as "four hundred gold pieces", but can you hold off on those kinds of changes until others weigh in on that topic? I know I personally prefer the "numerical" form in something like Eschalon, ev...

Re: making money?

Actually, that is not quite true. I am currently playing a Ranger, am and trying for the True Ranger challenge. I am now taking on the Blue Nidaria. With my character at level 27 in bows, I haven't been able to invest enough points in spells to do much serious damage to a tough enemy. Heh, yeah, th...

Re: Semi-official bug tracking thread (SPOILERS)

(And then, after having lost Hidden In Shadows, it does seem that the status will be lost until you've been able to move totally out of line-of-sight for at least a few turns. That could certainly be intentional, though.) When I first reported the problem, it wasn't just going "beyond line-of-...

Re: Eschalon Trilogy Post-Mortem

FWIW, two of my community college students knew what Eschalon was when I told them I played the series. This quite surprised me - it tells me that Eschalon has gotten better word-of-mouth (and better market penetration?) than I thought. Hopefully, this means that there will continue to be enough sal...

Re: Book III Character and Map Editor

P.S. When you do release it, please start a new, separate thread for "Official Version 1.0 of the Eschalon Editor" or something... In the past what I'd done is kept the first post updated with the current version information (as on the Book I and Book II posts)... Was your primary desire ...

Re: Book III Character and Map Editor

And, lo and behold, another week has passed without release! :) However, we're pretty close. We're in a sort-of feature freeze at the moment, and we're mostly just waiting on some extra testing (and some hardware availability for the testing in question). Assuming all goes well, we should be able t...

Re: Semi-official bug tracking thread (SPOILERS)

Something that's bugged me for awhile, and I keep thinking this must just be something stupid I'm doing, or some byproduct of playing via wine for the time being (since sound on the Linux version is still a bit bugged), but... Is there actually a way to bring up your character stats sheet without h...

Re: Eschalon Trilogy Post-Mortem

It's better in this way, I think. Everything has an end. I don't want to see Eschalon ending up as franchises like Final Fantasy or The Elder Scrolls. Where every chapter is made in order to get more and more money, not to craft an enjoyable game for gamers. So I'm waiting to see the next big thing...
