Concentration is awesome for archers. Besides boosting your To-Hit and Damage, it raises your carrying capacity, so you don't have to bother with Strength.Evnissyen wrote:Oh, and 20 Concentration. I haven't raised that attribute a single point since I started the game.

Just make sure you don't accidentally sell the Lycanthrope pelt when/if you get it. It looks exactly the same.

Alternately, any amulet or ring that gives a bonus to damage will let you strike them with any weapon.

Re: Weird/Viable build ?
Another thing that makes a difference is an amulet or ring (the names of them escape me at the moment) that gives a bonus to damage. That was the only way my non-spellcasting unarmed warrior was able to damage ghosts. Presumably they would have the same effect with weapons.

It's funny; you'd think you'd be able to break open a stump with, say, an axe.

Re: Is the game really that hard?
Many of the benefits from attributes seem to come in increments of 5. It can be confusing, because for some things there are two attributes that apply; for example, Armor is affected by both Speed and Dex. If your Speed is 14 and your Dex is 18 (total 32), adding 1 to speed or 2 to Dex will have no ...

No, I think it was blocked by a chest. You couldn't throw anything at it, because it was "obscured", so you would have to smash the chest to get at it, I guess.

You don't have to spend any skill points. After you buy 8 ranks, you can get two more from a book and wear two +2 foraging rings every time you camp. That's plenty.lexantis wrote:I mean how much skill points spent in foraging, i have 8 and its actually pretty good yet

More awesome yet would be an Amulet of Predator Sight.IJBall wrote:You're right - that's an omission from Book II. There needs to me something like a Gravedigger's Flame Amulet or a Gravedigger's Flame Hat in the game...

The one caveat is that tying "con artist" or "swindler" together with "Virtuous" axiom seems a little... "off" to me. Yeah, I thought so too, but then it occurred to me that it might be more virtuous to separate people from their jewels through tricker...

Re: I really don't like the ending [massive spoilers]
Hear, hear. Silverkitty and Elwro both make excellent points. So does Trinko, even leaving aside the whole genre issue. I think everyone here pretty much enjoyed the game, but some of us were left unsatisfied by the ending and some elements of the plot. The fact that it's the middle of a trilogy sho...
