Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire
One of the main steps to completing the mod is getting past the Mighty Mountains. There is the main path (Misty Pass), one secret path, and several dead-end paths. The dead-end paths are intentional. I like exploration, and I think it's fun when you're looking for a way to cross the mountains, find ...

Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire
If you look at the Escalon world map (or better yet, the map of Mistfell), you'll see that you need to get across the Mighty Mountains to the south to get to Bastion Spire. The map only shows one way across the mountains - that's the Misty Pass. I actually provided a second hidden way past the mount...

Re: A mod to Eastwillow
Cool! As soon as I get back from vacation, I'll have to try this out. As someone suggested to me, you might want to consider putting a link to this thread in the Modding forum: http://basiliskgames.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=34 People seem to be looking there exclusively for mods, so they might have...

Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire
Yes - I have 3 outdoor maps left. I'm hoping to finish it up by the end of October.

Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire
No, not at this time. I wanted to, but this mod is too huge already, so I had to limit it. Maybe at some point in the future I'll come back and add it in.Leon wrote:I found this entrance, but

Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire
The log references Vern (not Benjamin) (but you know that :D ) Missing a preposition: "...that was hidden the crack of a large..." Good fun & puzzles. Mike Right. Since Bastion Spire existed for at least a couple hundred years, the original architect would be long dead. But the cabin ...

Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire
A couple observations, Troy: 1. The book at Humfrey's references Vern Farwick of Nightwood. No sign of Vern Farwick in Nightwood, but south of Nightwood is the house of Benjamin Farwick, whose cellar is inoperative (the stairs do not highlight when the cursor is over it). 2. From the "summer c...

Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire
Sorry, I'm probably thick, but... what does the following mean: Note: if you want to use an existing character, you can skip step 2, but it will reset the 2 official maps listed above. What do you mean "...but it will reset the 2 official maps listed above."? TIA. The mod makes changes to...

Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire
v0.9.1 is now available! See initial post in this thread for the updated link and a list of changes. This new version should work much better, plus there are 4 new maps (2 outdoor, 1 large dungeon, and 1 small interior map). Enjoy! Of course, when you install this update, all of the mod's maps will ...

Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire
My opinion, as someone who prefers exploring to bashing, is that this mod doesn't need its difficulty ratcheted up any further. Good to know. Thanks! I'll try to balance any adjustments I make. I'm not too concerned with making the Misty Pass map harder, though, because I did NOT want players to ta...
