Re: Picaroon Fire Anachrids
For straight up damage, Ranger is definitely the most powerful build in Book II. There's a bit of a nerf in Book III the way equipment wear works, so watch out for that. Rangers are still my personal favorites, though. :) I like Rangers a lot also, although I do find a "pure" Ranger to be...

Re: Would you purchase the soundtrack if it was available?
What this would mean would be ... (snip)....., and certainly would make me consider another Eschalon game (prequel? sequel? Same time but different continent and story?) Of course this is only in the earliest of discussions and nothing would come of it until after our current project, but fans of E...

Re: Would you purchase the soundtrack if it was available?
For our next game, I will hire a composer to write us an exclusive soundtrack and I'll make sure we retain full ownership rights to it, so that a separate soundtrack can be made available. IMHO the music from Books I and II is simply spectacular. It would be wonderful if Glorian Slavov were still a...

Well, isn't this fun! It's nice to see the spiffy new site up and running. I'm feeling so homesick that I'm thinking about taking a spin through the Eschalon universe again. Congrats BW.

After the ordeal Go Daddy put you through when you launched Book III it's not surprising that you want to head in a different direction.

Whoopee - I loved the part that said you will have some sort of announcement later in 2015. Exciting news, and a great interview.

Re: Avernum: Crystal Souls
Yes, I'm aware of that. I just don't like to USE the character editor. I prefer to develop my characters as I go along in the course of exploring the game. Besides, I wasn't that far into the game that starting over was an issue. I actually like the way Jeff solved this problem in Avadon II - there...

Re: Brimstone lava fields (can't find the way)
Right between two lava river there is(?) small passage which I can't walk on. Is it a bug? Or I need a powder keg? I'm not exactly sure where you are in the game, so I'm guessing you have crossed from Pickaroon Island to Amireth. If so, there is one small quest that requires you to walk through som...

Re: Your favourite Eschalon game?
I just love Book I. It has such a great combination of story line and replayablilty. Books II and III are great, but I pretty much consider Book I to be an almost perfect RPG. That is a personal choice, of course. Of course, there are exploits, but the balancing of the game is terrific overall. I re...

Re: Fans of Basilisk Games: What's Next?
This is good news - I'm so glad you are going to be able to continue to develop RPG style games. If I read your post correctly, the next game will be released under a pseudonym. Will you be able to tell us about it so we can go and look at it, or will it be completely separated from the rest of your...

Maybe a few more clues would be helpful. Single player or party? Turn based? What kind of world - medieval or other? Magic or not?

Re: What is Basilisk Games doing next ?
Well, the plot thickens. If anybody noticed, Thomas had a post on Saturday (10/11/2014) in the Book III section of the forum saying that things are changing for Basilisk Games. Sounds to me like he is being bought out or is merging with another studio. Hopefully the news is something that will allow...

Re: What is Basilisk Games doing next ?
I don't think Thomas has said enough for there to be a truly informed opinion from the fan base. However, there is hope that he is making enough money off of Book III to fund another game. He indicated about the time the last book came out that he wouldn't be spending much time on the forum because ...
