I'm guessing you're at the portculli (or portcullises, if you prefer ). If you remember how you opened the one gate in the Ossuary, it might hep you to locate a solution in the Citadel.
Somewhere around the forum is a more specific answer.

Re: Complete Puzzle List [MAJOR SPOILERS]
I am not going to give away all the secrets I know, but one thing that I haven't ever seen mentioned by others is that there are a few gems hidden in Whistling Cave. You need to have a decent "Spot Hidden" skill, and then comb the edges of the cave. There are a few quality gems to be foun...

Re: Mary's Fathers Sword, unknown?
Well, if you had enough skill in Lore, or a Loremaster's Ring, or a Lore spell, you probably could identify it. Otherwise, you might have to ask somebody who might be interested in buying it from you. Of course, they'll charge you... Mary just said there was a cool weapon, by the way. I don't think ...

Re: Skills, Gold, and Travel Requirements
Hint for Blackwater: There is a spot, at night, you can try something and get in free. Also, there are a number of places in Blackwater that have nice things you can 'steal'/loot if your so inclined and sell them for a decent price. (in some spots you can even loot when a person is nearbye, but be ...

Re: store random seed to remove temptation to re-roll treasure
Renkin, Even in Book I, there are doors that you need to have pretty decent lockpicking skills to even have a shot at opening, most particularly Lilith's little side room. Until I have over 5 skill in lockpicking, my chance to pick it is 0, and it goes up very slowly from there. Of course, I'd have ...

Yep. I remember the day we installed 64K RAM. We thought we owned the world.

Re: food
I'm trying to remember the name of the first CRPG I played. It was text based, on our old TRS-80 Model III. You had to wait at sections while it loaded the next bit from tape (cassette tape, believe it or not). It was an exploration of an old Mayan ruin. You started off fighting your way through the...

Re: Traveling with Eschalon
If you just copy the Eschalon Saved Games folder from the Documents folder on your iMac to the Documents folder on your MacBook Pro, that should do the job (and copy back when you get home).

Re: Item description list
BasiliskWrangler can confirm this, but I believe the item lists are intentionally left out so that users can have the fun of discovering things themselves. I'm still looking for a way to use those extra giant larvae. When you click Use, it makes you eat them (yuck).

Re: What type of Quests?
Oh, and regarding the Powder Kegs- yes, in Book II you can pick them up and drop them in new locations. It has already been added to the engine and it opens up some interesting strategy options. So if you pick up a powder keg and start walking around, you REALLY don't want to get into a fight, righ...

Yep that's correct. He could also say, "don't buy that piece of crap". The author just lost a sale, but maybe that was the best thing. Have you ever bought a game which was so bad you only installed it, playd an hour and uninstalled? I know I have, and it sucks. Not only did I loose money...

Believable? Not letting me go south of Crakamir because I "would surely die" when I've wiped out all life north of the line is believable?

If you have oil and a wick, there might be a way to put them in the lantern. Almost like mixing a potion.

b0rsuk, What makes you feel that you have a right to be entertained? If you're going to go around quoting, completely out of context, the founding father's of the United States, you should at least understand what they're talking about. Both of those quotes are part of a long discussion on the "...
