Re: What about Grimoire?

Honestly, I'd be interested in giving it a try too. My worry is that it might be too much. 600 hours, and I read there are several large maze maps. I dunno...I don't really have the patience for large maze maps any more.

Re: First post of the decade! New Years Giveaway!

I've never played Grim Dawn (#9 I believe) I could give that game a run through for, you know, inspiration.

Re: Zorin OS

It's an Ubuntu variant (according to wiki). Looks nice! Personally, I *love* Linux. But as a developer, I can't use it as much because I also require Adobe Creative Suite to do my job (and a couple other critical Windows-only apps) and so I am stuck on Windows. I've tried to go full Linux in my stud...

Re: Basilsik Update 2020

If its not an app, im all in. Not an app. Right now Windows only on Steam. It's being made with Unity, so a Mac and Linux port would be easy to do if it sells well. On the other hand i am still looking forward to play the Basilisk sci-fi game, whatever time it may take to finish it. Thank you for y...

Basilsik Update 2020

I promised a New Year 2020 update, and so here it is! Honestly, not much has changed from last year. I'm here in the studio everyday working on something. One day I could be working on our sci-fi RPG, the next day I might be assisting another developer on their mobile project. What I've spent a lot ...

Re: Anyone Else Played Bard's Tale IV

It's been on my Steam wish list for a while, but the mixed reviews are concerning. I was planning on getting it at a deep discount or after some patches improve the game.

Re: Is Basilisk Games dead?

If I ever have to close the studio, I would announce it. I wouldn't leave anyone wondering. And yes, RPGs are in our blood and I'll always be working on something related to role-playing. I don't think I will ever feel complete until this sci-fi RPG gets released, even if it takes 10 more years. And...

Re: Is Basilisk Games dead?

Dead?? Nope! :D We're here. We're working. After converting from BlitzMax to Unity, and moving from a 2D isometric engine to a 3D engine, and now back to a hybrid 2D/3D engine, it's been taking much, much longer to make any progress. RPGs are giant and require a lot of design work. Also, we've been ...

Re: *** CrazyBernie's Mega Fan Fiction Hangout! ***

They say that on cold nights in early April, under the shrouded moonlight that is filtered through the still bare maples trees, you can sometimes see the ghost of old man Bernie. He often appears to be sweeping, sometimes whistling a haunting tune that sounds both mournful and melancholy. Though, h...

Re: The State of the Basilisk 2018: A Year in Review

can't you use the Zodiac engine to throw together like, uh, a space tower defense game or something for a quick cash grab? :D The funny thing is, Zodiac was supposed to be a quick "cash grab" in terms of a short development cycle. The problem was that I couldn't cut corners; every time I ...

Re: What *exactly* are the differences between the classes?

Yep, that is correct! Although a class doesn't limit you in any way, it does "suggest" a career path via attribute shaping. For a real-world example, I was a skinny kid in high school- I could have played football but that was not what I was best suited for. Instead I played a lot of compu...

Yep, I am the only full-time, regular paycheck employee, but I don't like to say "me" and "I" all the time. Other people, even fans, contribute to the creative process with ideas, suggestions, and donations. I work with other artists sometimes, or music composers. I may purchase ...

Re: The State of the Basilisk 2018: A Year in Review

That said; Zodiac!!! No, seriously, you put it on the shelf since you got bored. Well, don't you ever become unbored? Just blow the dust off and finish it already!!! :D I was just playing this last week. It is still very fun despite it mostly just a partial game with large pieces missing. It's alwa...
