Re: very simple question.

Are you playing the game with equipment wear turned off? This is a known issue and all you need to do is sell the water skin you found in your house and get yourself another one. Also be aware that the storekeeper might not have a waterskin in his shop, so save before asking to see what he has. The...

Re: Book III Update for May

Great update! Gives me hope I will have something to do this fall.
I like the fact that quest A might have a link to quest Z. That way the npc's get to live a bit longer since they will prove to be useful and not just another expts statistic.

Re: You deserve a pat on the back-Gog

Kewlness. Haven't gotten any news from GOG and specials recently. I'll go take a look at the site sometime soon just to see it on my screen. I don't get very many games from them, it was my son's idea to get the Ultima series for the Mac a while ago.

Congrats BW. :D

Re: Things I'm Looking Forward To In The New Year...

I was wondering if you were adding more "tile boundaries" in Book III. Book I had only grass and sand, Book II had grass, sand and lava. In the screenshot with the big skull temple, I saw that the path had a differently colored center that had smooth edges. So far with Book III, we've bee...

Re: Baldur's Gate and DnD

I've actually run three Dragonlance games now. One ended in a TPK (I just couldn't stop rolling 20s, over and over again!) and the other died from lack of interest. Of all the published settings, Dragonlance is the one I'm most familiar with. I know a little about Forgotten Realms, Planescape and S...

Re: Baldur's Gate and DnD

My health prohibits me from 'table gaming' so I use the internet to run my game built in my own world of 'Knumythia' . It's a varient 1st/2nd ed. game I run on Rpol dot net. Been there since 2004. Before that ran games via email and before that on a BBS local to my town. Heh, Before that I actually...

Re: Sounds familiar

I just noticed that they found rat meat being pawned off as lamb in China. Maybe the perpetrators got the idea from Book II. Do you suppose spider legs will show up disguised as crab next? Well along with rat meat, there was fox, mink and other unspecified meat. I guess they'd add spider and grubs ...

Re: Baldur's Gate and DnD

Ok, I think I am in....if you are willing to have an old player with *new blood* jump in the fray. Who all else here is thinking about jumping on board with our lovely Dragonlady? I will be honest, though, I don't have ANY of the books any more so I might be a wee bit rusty. From looking at your ch...

Re: Baldur's Gate and DnD

It sounds awesome. Just curious when you do these games, do you have set times you login and play, or do you post during the week? I just have never played an online game for PnP like this. It has me more than curious to know more and possibly have an option to restart one of my favorite past times...

Re: Baldur's Gate and DnD

is that the starting levels, or average levels? How high of level do you normally go before you retire your characters and start off anew, so to speak? It has been forever since I did anything like that, too. Used to get together every friday night for one game, and saturday for another. Heck my we...

Re: Baldur's Gate and DnD

I'd love to find me a DnD 2nd edition group to play with. Unfortunately noone I know around here plays. I mean, I live in a large city, I am sure they exist, but how I can find them is beyond me. I've tried messaging several people from various "meet up" sites I've found regarding this, b...

Re: nobody is going to like this camping suggestion...

@Unbeliever: Book III currently does have a checkbox for "Ignore Cartography skill and give character full automap at game start?". You can take this for a 20% difficulty penalty to end-game score. How does everyone feel about this? I'm okay with this, but it will depend on what level vie...

Re: Question About Steam, And New (Mac) Games...

steam is free to use. the games are what costs money. I love steam personally, and have never had issues beyond my own stupidity (forgot my password once). I use steam and GoG as my two main sources of games these days. I think the only time I set foot in a video game store is when I want a wii U g...
