Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire

Yes. Look around, there's something nearby that will allow you to access the stairs. I believe there's a painting or something on the wall just south of there that you can click on. Well, wasn't that stupid! Probably the only one that I didn't examine. But then again, I never did like the Chancello...

Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire

So, I no longer have the Chancellor's Sword and I had "to take the long way home", but <grumble, grumble> I was directed to look for "a weapon" and I found what would more correctly be termed, hmm, "the ultimate means of destroying Kuudad (or Mistfell)". Maybe be more e...

Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire

 Well, that makes sense, seemed like a huge let-down. Off hand, there are one or two "minor" mysteries yet to be solved. So, good, off to do more. My character is a carefully-built Ranger (all natural, no artificial enhancements :P ) with some magical abilities, played VERY carefull...

Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire

5th level? yes: Chancellor's Sword, Base damage: 2, Weight: 1.0 lbs, Value: 100 (sounds rather like an oversized letter opener :D ) Too easy? after cleaning out Misty Pass, yes. I did everything backwards as usual  I didn't remember reading your instructions about finding the wagon train first,...

Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire

There's a hole/gap in the mountains in Misty Pass @ 49,34 allowing you to wander around even into Gambit Valley.

Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire

The given gold total was without benefit of 99% of the level 1 loot: too much trouble to collect it and cash it in.

I'm pretty sure that I've gotten everything currently available (didn't even singe my beard  ), hence the sword reference.

Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire

Running totals so far:

760 kills
~222,000 experience points
~30,000 golds (after the cost of 1500-2000 arrows)
1 sword, value: 100

Re: Book II Mod: Return to Bastion Spire

Stepping on the quick travel point in Bastion Spire puts the program into an endless loop cycling between the Spire and Humfrey's tower. Requires Ctrl-Alt-Del to get to the task manager which has to force Eschalon to end. There are only three dwellings and one crypt in Western Thaemore and no signs ...

Re: Meaning of the Note - possible bug? *small spoilers*

A couple of people have reported the same thing, but neither of them could produce a save or were sure of the exact circumstances, so it's possible the passage was already open, or that you didn't follow the exact dialogue line; you need to follow a specific dialogue line, asking about the Nadaria ...

The point is, with that embedded sender address, it WILL be never for most people who don't check their junk mail folder.

EIII email announcement

This: "From: basiliskgames.activehosted.com@s140.acemserv.com on behalf of Thomas Riegsecker (tom@basiliskgames.com)" was quite properly "Microsoft SmartScreen classified this message as junk." on my system and I suspect most junkmail filters will do the same.

Re: General Thoughts on Book III, So Far (some SPOILERS)

I especially like the little things:

The T.Rex
Crazy Bernie
The secret places (especially the one with the dilemma: A or S?)
The stews
And the unintended perhaps: click on a skeleton and get meat scraps and a mushroom.

Still exploring and enjoying: it's much better than I or II.
