Re: Development Update for April
I need caffeinated beverages. Years of high caffeine intake has caused my body to require it as a necessary nutrient. I'm grumpy if I don't get a minimum of 2 pots of coffee a day. Coffee is a need for my survival. I take in a minimum of 1000 mg of caffeine a day, usually closer to the 2000 mark. It...

Basilisk Wrangler, destroyer of free time. One look at him will drive you completely mad. It's better you don't know.

Re: Eschalon: Book I Version 1.05 FULL
I downloaded from the new link but the download I got still says 1.04 and the file's creator dates are Dec. 9 2007? Is it possible Pilmus doesn't have the updated 1.05 version?

Re: Being a solo gamer in a multiplayer world
Luckily they've improved upon this sort of thing with modern MMOs, but I never overcame my dislike for MMOs in general. To an extent but most MMOs, even WoW succumb to this issue. In an MMO, everyone can't be the hero. In a single player game, you are the hero. I tend to think that Neverwinter Nigh...

Being a solo gamer in a multiplayer world
Really good commentary about the slow death of single player gameplay over at destructoid. This article really hit a chord with me. I can remember slaving away as a kid in the family resturant and then coming home late and sinking into a game of Realmz or Final Fantasy or Chrono Trigger or whatever....

Re: Game Won't Even Start
I think it's when you format Mac OS Extended Case Sensitive that S*** gets hosed up. Case sensitive volumes break a lot of apps. I would a. redownload the game just incase something is corrupt. b. run repair permissions in Disk Utility c. Verify your disk in disk utility, if it finds something boot ...

Re: Geneforge 5 (Mac) is out.
The fight for retro king begins. Ding Ding. Let Mortal Kombat Begin. *insert techno beat* Seriously I just booted er up for a bit here at work and Vogels outdone himself this time, the game scales perfectly on my 22" 1680x1050 monitor. Classic gameplay, classic graphics, just tiles out to the e...

Re: Any news soon?
Screw Triple A titles. I want triple-retro. Seriously, I hate Christmas (not the idea of getting together and community, but the consumerist garbage pail it's become) so when I go home for the holidays I usually hunker down in the basement with the latest treat from Spiderweb and nary peek my head o...

Re: Dragonlady needs Healing Elixir!
Having just had a bout of "minor" throat surgery on Friday my heart goes out to anyone who has to spend an extended stay in these Zoos they call hospitals. General anesthesia has to be one of the single most disconcerting experiences of my life. Better than the old days of splash of whiske...
Re: Fallout 3
Well apon finishing my homework around Midnight I popped my Fallout 3 disk in the ol 360 and took a whack at it. The game oozes style, and I like it. This game is great for what it is, Fallout inspired Oblivion. I'd love to see them revisit the isometric view, with a true turn based RPG, not unlike ...
Re: Fallout 3
I liked Oblivion so post apocalyptic guns blazin Oblivion is ok with me too. Mind you I'm not real cool with the Fallout 3 name, this decidedly is not Fallout 3 in my mind. Really awesome game set in the Fallout universe yes, Fallout 3, no.
Re: Fallout 3
I preordered it, yea it might not be "Fallout" and just Oblivion with guns. But I'm like super ok with Oblivion with guns. Someone do my homework.

QUIT POSTING SCREENSHOTS! They are making me salivate at it's retro deliciousness. If I ever decide to go to grad school again someone strangle me. I'm deep into homework central right now and I keep getting smacked in the face with great games. Tales of Vesperia, on the shelf mocking me. Fal...
