Re: Automapping feature instead of requiring Cartography ski
I'm generally satisfied with the way Cartography works. As you get better at it, you are more skilled at making maps and the detail in the map reflects this. The only objection I have is the "bug" where if you re-visit an area with a lower Cartography skill than you had before, the detail ...

Re: Repair Skill Discussion (from the Book III 'Wishlist'...
Repair could be weighted by your character's training. You could say that the training includes learning about the maintenance/fabrication/repair of the equipment associated with that skill. For an example, a character with a 10 level in bows would be more proficient in the care and maintenance of b...

Re: Please add cannibalism (this is a serious request)
Perhaps the game could allow you to eat some of the remains of what you kill. This could give you nourishment or make you sick (i.e. depending on what your race/type/alignment). If you look at the Rogue game, if you ate some of a monster you killed you could also gain some of the attributes of that ...

sector maps
An idea for the cartography issue: What if you could buy (or find) maps of the different areas of the world (e.g. Ravens Gate West Entrance)? You could look at these maps the way you do the maps of the whole area (e.g. Mistfell) the can be found/bought (overlay on top of screen). But in addition whe...

Re: COMPREHENSIVE Book III 'Wishlist' (List form)
Maybe this has been mentioned, but one should be able to forage by walking around looking for things. It could either by foraging for something specific (e.g. find mandrake) or just a general forage (with forage items tied to specific areas). Foraging should also include items that may be dropped/lo...

Re: COMPREHENSIVE Book III 'Wishlist' (List form)
Maybe this has already been mentioned, but: Have a way to unlearn spells. As your character develops it is natural to learn new spells as soon as they are encountered (read, learned, etc.). Lower level characters may need the help as soon as they can get it. Eventually a limit is reached on how many...

Re: Ver 1.05 !!!!! SPOILER !!!!!!
Found what I think is another bug in Ver. 1.05 in Fathamurk. If you have Cat's Eye and Gravediggers flame spells active and are in the Dark Maze, using the tactical display will outline the squares in the vicinity where you can move. It actually lights up the squares for a fair distance. This makes ...

Ver 1.05 !!!!! SPOILER !!!!!!
I've noticed in version 1.05 that when you get a thirst or hunger warning and then eat or drink something to correct it, it takes a few turns (moves) for the starve or dehyd warning to be removed. In one case I was sleeping and woke due to extreme hunger. I ate some spider legs and then went back to...

Re: Finished game - thoughts + suggestions (minor spoilers)
I agree that the magic powers are a little to much. I was playing a Rogue character. As the game progressed I tended to use spells more than any "rogue" skills. With the level I had and a magic hat or two, the strength of my magic was the most effective offensive weapon (fireballed Gen. Kn...

Re: for players who reach The Saboteur Ending
Korren seems to move fairly slowly. It was not difficult to stay out of reach and plink him with arrows or fireballs.

Arrows
Regarding arrows. Rather than waiting for armorers to get them in stock or traveling around to all the shops to gather some up, perhaps if a character has a reasonable Bow skill and a foraging skill he could make some while camping (sort of along the lines of repairing armor). While there were fletc...

What is this plasma wand people mention? I never found it. My thief managed to kill Korren and the general without it (mostly with arrows).

There is a book that will give you some Heavy Armor levels. Forget what it's called.

Re: alternate ending [SPOILER!!!!!! (in case you can't tell)
Not sure why this ending "broke the game". Could have gone something like this: Kill Korren. Get lots of Xp. Something is dropped. Check the loot bag, find the other stone. Some text that says this is the Crux you have been seeking. Check your quest journal, find you are supposed to destro...

alternate ending [SPOILER!!!!!! (in case you can't tell)!!!]
My thief killed Korren (and broke the game). Became the Saboteur. Tried various things on Korren. Most effective was using Skill Feat Focus and shooting regular arrows with the Warmoth bow. Took awhile, but since he just seems to have a dagger and not move all that fast, it was no problem to stay ou...
