Re: Pillars of Eternity II swipe from Eschalon ;-)

Well, Divinity Original Sin does... but that was released AFTER Eschalon, so no. As far as I can tell (and I have not played every RPG there ever were, mind you), you invented them. In RPG:s, at least.

Re: Pillars of Eternity II swipe from Eschalon ;-)

Isn't there exploding barrels in Doom? I seem to remember there were.

Edit: In fact, let's be honest, people love explosions so much, they jump at any opportunity to include them.

How can you tell, it is still not out? Did you have a beta-test version or something? Or has it been released elsewhere but not on GoG?

Re: Kingdoms & Castles

Well... judging from the vid, which I really should not, as it is a pre-alpha vid, it is real time. Looks a bit like settlers (lets hope it is not like settlers or my 10 bux just went down the drain). But, I am an omnivore when it comes to these kind of games. Turnbased, RT or weird mix, it doesnt m...

Kingdoms & Castles

This title caught my eye; https://www.gog.com/game/kingdoms_castles From what I can see, the graphics are clean, just like Eschalon, if though a bit simple (then again, Eschalon 1 is also perhaps a bit simple). I have decided to preorder this thing so in... well whenever it is finished, if there is ...

Who is the most endearing character (any RPG)?

So, I thought this forum has been rather slo... dead lately, so I will try to give it some CPR. The name of the game is namedropping the character you thought were the most endearing from any RPG. Since I started the thread, I go first; Eder (Pillars of Eternity) This guy is very chill and down to e...

Just a quick update;

https://www.humblebundle.com/clickteam-fusion-bundle

I bought that. Seems perfect for a programming inept person like me.

If I ever get around to actually make anything at least semi-decent, I will be sure to post like, a direct connect username or something in this thread.

That webpage reminds me of the Vrillon incident;

Oooh, pretty colors.

The former pictures were more like crashed on a planet tryna survive and stuff, where magic and the like would have fitted in just fine.
However, this looks much more spaceiey.

You are aware that all great games have warlock as a playable class, right?

Re: Balrum

Balrum released on GOG: https://www.gog.com/news/release_balrum 40% discount right now, they say. Judging from the vid, it's the love-child of Eschalon and Harvest Moon. What with all the survival and building stuff, I just hope it's not micromanaging hell, because that have killed a lot of otherwis...

Re: What features would you like in a Sci-Fi RPG?

For a turn based Sci-Fi RPG, I'd be in the mood for something close quarters, but with a lot of exploration. It'd be something like Grimrock in space (maybe not so restrictive movement-wise)... an "abandoned" underground moon base that's been overrun by critters/some alien invaders. There...

Re: What features would you like in a Sci-Fi RPG?

As an evolutionary biologist, my number one concern with some Sci-Fi, especially Star Trek, is that there are so many human-like humanoids. Now, don't get me wrong. Due to convergent evolution, it is not only possible but also even likely that aliens could look like us. And further, they would proba...

How difficult is it to make a game?

Hi all, I finally could afford an android device, and I have been downloading space explorer / space empire building games and reached the conclusion that they all suck major donkey balls compared to Escape Velocity (really old Mac game but still awesome, check it out if you have a system 9 or less ...
