Re: Grim Dawn, from the makers of Titan Quest
Who's got two thumbs and is playing the Grim Dawn alpha? This guy. http://i.imgur.com/NNjqHaDl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/RmGi3djl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/pMuxKiUl.jpg Really stable for an alpha build, zero crashes and glitches so far. Having a total blast playing it. Crate Entertainment definitely know ...

Re: Neverwinter
From what I've seen of Neverwinter it looks like a wow clone with dnd wrapping paper. Unless 4th edition rules are just THAT different from the 2nd edition I am used to. In which case I apologize for calling this a game that doesn't feel like dnd. The game is extremely loosely based on D&D 4E. ...

Re: Divinity - Original Sin
So, this Quickstarter was well funded, getting to almost $950k (well over the original goal of $400k). What I'm unclear on is whether they threw in the last 'stretch' goal (at $1mil) or not. A lot of Quickstarters have seemed to "throw in" the last 'stretch' goal even if it wasn't technic...

I sometimes forget I know you from the GD forums, too ;) I'm also on the Mindflayer shard, Arten Melgarson, Half-Elven Trickster Haha, yeah. I'm looking forward to bumping into you in the game in the Mindflayer shard. We'll have to go grab a pint in the driftwood tavern. :D Edit: Here is Murzush do...

Neverwinter
I almost named this thread "I Can't Believe I'm Playing A MMO And Really Enjoying It". Anyway, the Neverwinter Open Beta is here. What is Neverwinter? It's a D&D F2P MMO from Cryptic set in the Forgotten Realms based around the city of, you guessed it, Neverwinter. At the moment ...

Mars: War Logs
So this title came out of the blue, at least for me. After hearing some mildly positive things, I pulled the trigger. Bought it off Green Man Gaming for $16 after a 20% off voucher (It's $20 normally). The game is basically a mashup of Rage, Dune, Firefly , and Chronicles of Riddick , with The Witch...

Re: [KS] Torment: Tides of Numenera
Yeah, this game is shaping up really nicely. They have some awesome artists, fantastic composers, and, most importantly, one heck of a writing team, on board for this. The few proof of concept glimpses they have shown us have been nothing short of spectacular. Trying to live up to the Torment name i...

Re: Might and Magic: Is it back?
I like what Grimrock did with automaping. It was a very simple automap made to look like graph paper, for that nostalgia feeling.

Re: Divinity - Original Sin
And it's going to have weresheep ! Yeah, the weresheep thing is awesome. Some folks, at least one of them being a swell fella from the Obsidian Entertainment forums that also led the creation of the Obsidian Order of Eternity (which I am a member of), created the weresheep as a way for people to sh...

40 hours to go and the project is closing in on the 800k henchmen become companions stretch goal. Update 29 explains a bit about this and how having players disagree will affect companions: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=OA67YzyjU5E Divinity: Original Sin http://i.imgur.c...

Pretty cool. People often forget that Guido worked on Planescape: Torment too. I'll definitely keep my eye on this project.

Re: Divinity - Original Sin
Update 15 - Homestead stretch goal reached and exploration. Pretty cool that there will be whole "towns" to find if you go off the beaten path, not just a treasure chest behind a tree or whatever. Looking at how many days are left, they'll almost certainly reach the 650k Talents & Tra...

Re: Project Eternity
Man, now I'm starting to worry if maybe my computer can even handle such a pretty game? I was going to upgrade my video card for my birthday, but then my harddrive failed and I spent all of my money replacing that, instead! Obsidian Entertainment has stated that they plan to make the game playable ...

Re: the Thief Series (stealth game)
The Thief Series is great. Thief 2 is one of the very best stealth games ever made. I will likely get Thief 4 when it comes out, but not until I read reviews and such, and likely not until it hits a Steam sale or something ($50 or $60 is just too much for me to spend). As an aside, Thief isn't so mu...
