Re: Puzzle Designing
Here's what I mean: The way I think, you could end up with any of those numbers. Why? Because with the information given, there is no indication that the arrow directions cannot "edge wrap" back around to the prior column or row. Then place skulls or something similar around the numbers, ...

Not just cash. Be prepared to wander all over Mistfell and rest for a couple weeks if you want to unload the non-cash goodies.

Re: the grind is wearing me down
Lockjaw, a suggestion re the armor skills: don't get more than one level in either heavy armor or light armor. I actually have both at level 1 on my current character and find it's all I need. Further investment only increase the percentage chance that you'll take half damage from any particular hit...

Re: Why do you enjoy Rolling to determine character attribut
I'm guessing it's actually possible to get 14 in all of them (though I'm nowhere near patient enough to actually test my theory). I would say yes, it is. I know I've rolled six 14s with the other two numbers as double digits (although I can't recall exactly what they were), so I don't doubt if you ...

What level is your character now, and how have you built him? Are you upgrading your gear when you get the opportunity? Are you using potions and magic (if your character is capable of the latter)?

Re: Preferred new skill training method?
I don't fret too much about the efficiency equations. What I do is buy one or two skills at the beginning that I feel I really want and will help the character until I can get to a trainer for the other skills. If I find a book, I may use it for the first level if it's something I feel I need/want r...

Re: Feats and Weapon Skills Discussion
That doesn't make sense. If an item weighs x , it doesn't suddenly begin to weigh less if you're trained in its use. The laws of physics don't bend due to training. Better materials should weigh less. Better training should make you more effective in their use, which is represented by the better to ...

I can't recall the value of it offhand, but I believe there's a merchant later on in Durnore that has enough to buy it. Another alternative is to buy some things you may need or could find useful from one of the merchants (probably the one in Port Kuudad), such as Demon Oil and the potions of Charm ...

Wow. No, I went back long after completing the quest. I wonder if that makes a difference, because I never noticed a wolf invasion.

Re: Steam?
Yes, I know that and you know that. But to many people, making backups is inconvenient. People are, on the whole, basically lazy. Why go to all that 'trouble' when Steam backs them up for you? Many people are Steam lovers and won't use anything else.

Re: Steam?
Many people like the convenience of Steam, where they have a central repository for their games. This means they can install on a new computer without any issues other than installing the Steam client and DLing and installing the game. Steam users may also not be aware of an independent like this, a...

Re: Why do you enjoy Rolling to determine character attribut
I feel pretty much as BW, Slarty, and Oshkell said, but a couple coppers to add: point-buy, I find, is great for a 'level playing field' when you're playing with others. In a single player game, I don't like it, as I end up doing just what Oshkell does and min/maxing like a mad man. I know I don't h...
