I believe he also mentioned it would be science fiction instead of fantasy, as well.

Re: Just a small question
I was not aware that Basilisk had global moderators. Are you thinking of Spiderweb? There aren't any global moderators as far as I know, but if you look at the Legend at the bottom of the Board Index page, it shows Global Moderators That's what I was referring to, yes. I've never been to Spiderweb,...

Green is the color of the global moderators, so probably.

Re: Sincere question
Yeah, a gamer's just someone who is passionate about games. Your age, gender, and such doesn't enter into it. Nor does it matter if you are a casual or hardcore, if you prefer console, phone or PC; or if you play tabletop or videogames or whatever! And I agree, whoever wrote that post is a troll. An...

Yes, it's not like the movies. Disease, famine, and everyone's covered in crap.SpottedShroom wrote:There's always GURPS. You can run a straight medieval game as realistic as you want, but be warned: the middle ages weren't actually that much fun.

Re: Sweet Tweet
Man, map-making can be so incredibly tedious. And yet the maps in Eschalon are always quite detailed. My hat goes off to all of the hard work BW puts into these games.

Re: What rules do you use?
Yeah, same as Kreador here. I use them all except the save limitation, because if I need to go somewhere and leave the computer, I like to save so I can turn it off (and conserve energy).

I'm running two play-by-post games at the moment, both are 2nd Edition AD&D. It's really the only system I know.

This is pretty awesome! Will Book III and the unnamed sci-fi game be on GOG when they come out, too, I wonder?

Re: Baldur's Gate and DnD
I've actually run three Dragonlance games now. One ended in a TPK (I just couldn't stop rolling 20s, over and over again!) and the other died from lack of interest. Of all the published settings, Dragonlance is the one I'm most familiar with. I know a little about Forgotten Realms, Planescape and Sp...

Re: Baldur's Gate and DnD
My health prohibits me from 'table gaming' so I use the internet to run my game built in my own world of 'Knumythia' . It's a varient 1st/2nd ed. game I run on Rpol dot net. Been there since 2004. Before that ran games via email and before that on a BBS local to my town. Heh, Before that I actually...

Re: 11.8 encumbrance when totally empty except gold.
The same thing happened to me just last week. I was trying to drop as much gear as possible into barrels so I could move that big ceramic pot from Bordertown to Blackwater. I got rid of everything, even rings, and still had some encumbrance left over. At first I thought it was my gold, but then I re...
