Re: Just a thanks...

I'll join in on the praise. I have like 150 games in my GOG shelf, and I have not even played half of them, and half of those I have played rarely more than 1/2-3 h, and of those that I have played more than that, I have rarely finished them. But Eschalon sucked me in and made me neglect my other re...

Re: Goblins of steel

The recipee for killing most any enemy that bugs you is; TNT + Haste potion The only way I could off that fucken blacksmith in the mines in E2 (at the level you are supposed to have when you get there). It even works on certain gigantic metal men that are infuriatingly crazy overpowered (if you have...

Re: Strong feeling of "half of the game cut before release"

i never reseed, i tested by entering baasalt dunes on level 1 and level 5. on level 1 random bodies spawned near mountain have nothing valueble. on level 5 they have t1 rings and books. Well, I guess they could lock a number on each item, but depending on your level, that interpretation is differen...

Re: Strong feeling of "half of the game cut before release"

Also i got extremely strong feeling of "radiant AI" or "skyrim" since containers drop loot based on my own level, not level of area, i always hated this, since it disallow skipping lowlevel areas, 99% of areas MUST VISIT AND CAN"T skip. Is this true? I always click the &quo...

Re: Bugs/Errors/Exploits/Typos (possible spoilers)

I found something interesting. There's a quest early on to obtain 10 pearls. I found 11, so returned to the quest giver. But I was afraid she would take all 11 pearls when I turned in the quest, so I deliberately separated one pearl from the rest. Strangely, when I turned in the quest, she only too...

Re: A Suggestion Regarding "Minimum Hardware Requirements"

I run Eschalon III on a 2 ghz computer (because I have no money :( ) and it works fine. No it is not dual core or anything. Older than the streets 2 ghz AMD.

Re: Difficulty

Challenging is good. Throwing your nintendo controler in the ground and cursing difficulty is bad. The three things that annoy me the most are; 1. "Wall of death", for example see James Bond for Wii. This is a FPS exclusive, where as soon as you crouch out of cover you are immediatly shoot...

Re: Features List?

I think the magic damage per mana should be fixed. The level 1 magic attack should do the least DPM, since "casual" spellcasters should not be as powerful as seasoned spellcasters. The level 2 magic attack should do the most DPM, but not an overwhelming total damage. Maybe 1,5 of what leve...

Re: Your First Character Playing Book III?

Warlock. What else?

If you have magic, you do not need to waste 1 turn changing from ranged to melee. Also, unequiping a weapon does not take a turn in Eschalon II, so you can have 10 levels in blunt weapons, do the superattack, unequip and do unarmed superattack.

Re: Features List?

I really hope we've been given the ability to remove spells from our Spell Journal and a shortcut key for changing combat mode. :D Nope on both counts, but if that's all it takes to make you happy PM, I will put those in today. Just added it to my Thursday ToDo list. There is a rather easy and trie...

How about some IWDII while waiting for Eschalon?

Hello, Annoyed by the lack of activity on this forum, I decided to try and get a thread started. The subject of the thread is "What is your IWDII dream team?". I go first, since I started the thread and all. We start the IWDII party out only with the greatest person that ever lived, that w...

Re: Might and Magic: Is it back?

* Did I mention that it really feels like old school Might & Magic ? Is the gameplay smooth? Because the original was convuluted! To much... of everything! If you compare the difference between Exile and Geneforge, it is that Geneforge is smooth. What was innovative with BG is that it was smoot...

with proceeds going towards our next (post-Eschalon) game. Oh oh! I know what that will be about! Re: Another Kickstarter to check out

The first-person view isn't my favorite, but the depth of thought Guido has been putting into this is inspiring enough that I kicked in a pledge. This games combat system is more like Swords and Serpents than Oblivion, or did I get it wrong? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HO2mGB1EYvk For your infor...
