Re: Book 3 screen shots
As one who still plays old school AD&D, sounds awesome. Can't wait to see them when they're ready.

Re: Diablo 3 review
The fact that this game is online-only, even in single player mode, cannot be paused, and logs you out automatically if you are idle, is pushing me away from it. I think I'll just wait for Torchlight II instead.

Re: TES V: Skyrim
Wait, so does that just mean it will be available on Steam? Or that you can't play it without Steam? If it's the latter, they just lost themselves a sale.

Re: TES V: Skyrim
None whatsoever? Awesome, if true. I was kind of worried they'd go with Steam only like New Vegas did. There will be no DRM on the game,

Re: Age of Decadence
That's the thing with indie games. They're done when they're done. On the one hand, that means waiting a very long time for a release. On the other hand, at least some big AAA publisher isn't forcing them to release it half-done and full of bugs, with most of the features cut out, so it can be out i...

Re: How about this for Book III?
Also, Eschalon Book III should be a FPS. Let's face it, that's what sells nowadays. Nobody cares about turn-based RPGs anymore. Those are like, in the past, man. As for Diablo III, that's okay. The money I would have spent toward buying it can instead go toward Torchlight or one of Soldak's games, b...

Re: Cthulhu Saves the World
So I'd have to make an account, but the game would be mine forever, unlike with Steam? Yeah, I can live with that. Thanks, Crazy Bernie.

Yep, it's illegal. Wacky laws, aren't they?sirdilznik wrote:CrazyBernie wrote: That's what I always do, buy a legit copy then apply a No DVD crack. I don't know if that's legal or not but I don't see anything wrong with it and I'm not about to let any SecuROM or StarForce crap abuse my hardware.

Re: TES V: Skyrim
Ah, that's too bad. As a PC gamer, I'm in a tough spot. I won't pirate a game, but at the same time, I won't buy any game that has DRM that is either a) intrusive or b) robs me of my rights as a consumer. Consequently, that just leaves me with games that are either very old (before the days of SecuR...

Re: TES V: Skyrim
Seems interesting, and I've never played any previous Elder Scroll games.
What I'm curious about is whether there will be level scaling, like staylost mentioned, and also what kind of DRM it will come with.

That is the exact same reason I never played Fallout New Vegas.Jedi_Learner wrote:When I found out that the PC version of Duke Nukem Forever forces you to use Steam I lost interest in the game. The people responsible for this decision can go fuck themselves.

I think an interesting RPG would be one set in Revolutionary times.
