I almost forgot House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski which was
published in Germany a few months ago.So it was new for me and
very interesing almost disturbing.The english original was published
in 2000 though.

Once you learned a spell is there still a chance you fail to cast it like in
Ultima Online?Or is it more like that you mess up the spell because you
were distracted by an attack or something else?
