I have a recipe for a healing potion that requires willow bark. I have been playing about 10 hours now and have only seen 1 willow bark. I have the foraging skill at level 2 and I cant find any magic shops with Willow bark.

Is this normal?

I think I'm going to go with a close range melee character with healing abilities or maybe alchemy skills. I might add pick locks too.

I tend to not play pure rogues as I like some of their skills but always skulking around and such doesnt appeal to me all the time.

Keep at in Saxon1974! Book II is harder than Book I if you have ANY of the rules turned on. Book I had none of the rules that you see at the start of the game. Everyone- if you want to play with " Book I 's level of difficulty" then turn off all the rules! If you play with rules on, remem...

It appears that book II is a bit more difficult than Book I. It could be due to the way I built my character but Im about level 5 in the game and having a bit of trouble not getting so beat up in every fight I have to rest ALOT. Yes it is a matter of opinion, I love it but I realize others wont so giving the user a choice seems like a great idea.

And by the way, food does impact your Endurance. Not sure about other stats.

I also noticed eating apples replenishes a little bit of water as well as food.

I was personally hoping for a little bit more from the manual....world lore, bestiary etc.....but oh well I realize its more important to get a good quality game released.

I love the addition of food and water requirement, just makes the game a more realistic challenge. Im playing on hardcode mode and I think it makes the game much better..... So far all the changes are fantastic. Im seeing some recipe's for alchemy for sale too which I had trouble finding in the firs...

It is a little Glitchy.

It didn't work first time for me either and I swear I typed it correct. Then I tried it again and it worked.
