New Dawn

Anyone seen this new game? Not much there yet so far, but I like the story and world concept, kind of reminds me of Wasteland and the Fallouts. Hope it turns out good.

They mention that you can play with turn based or real time combat.

Bestiary

Hello,

Have you all considered posting some renders of some of the creatures in the game? Or does that violate your policy of not revealing to much about the game?

We're here! We are working hard on it every day. We recently moved the studio to a new location so the past couple weeks has been a little slow on the development side, but we're back on it full-time (and then some). Have you seen the indie RPG interview we participated in last week? The link can b...

Yes, I got that one, thanks. I was really hoping to also find MMIII somewhere and I cant. Oh well.

Wow, nice find! I see that those bastards stole our "Book I" subtitle! I didn't get too far into it but you're right: it looks like a decent M&M3 clone (which isn't a bad thing at all!). Well, I think Might and Magic I was called book one or something like that wasn't it?...

Yendorian Tales

Has anyone played these sharewhare games? I started playing book 1 chapter 2 today and was enjoying it. It seems very well made for an indy game. Apparently its a father and 2 sons project. Only think Im not liking so much is the amount of combat, a little too much for my tastes. If you like the ear...

It's highly unlikely that you have not played the Gold Box games such as Pool of Radiance & Pools of Darkness, but have you played the SSI Buck Rogers games for a different twist? There are two & they are both available from Home of the Underdogs. I would personally recommend also picking u...

Gothic 3 suffers from the same problms as other modern rpgs- to much action and not enough role playing. :? Amen brother. It's all about pushing the graphical extreme and having lots of action (probably because lots of combat doesn't take much to create once the engine is built). I would be thrille...

I had roughly the same experience as Saxon. I'm a huge fan of the first two (Still play them) but the 3rd was a bit messy. I play gothic 3 off and on now, but I don't care for the dumbed-down combat. (dumbed down when you compare it to the previous 2 gothics, anyway) I remember fighting that Demon ...

Has anyone talked about save games? I think that only allowing you to save a game outside a dungeon or city, or maybe even only in an inn is a good idea. I know this is probably unpopular but I always thought it added a level excitement when exploring a dungeon. If you know if you die you have to st...

Very interesting thanks Screeg. Unfortunately this seems true of almost every industry these days, including music.

Im sure hoping for some niche markets to survive and actually make their mark. Hopefully this game will help!

As much as I like what I have seen in this game so far, I have to say the combat is terrible. The enemy AI is non existant. Basically, once I got to level 12 or 13 I would just repeatedly left click on an enemy and move towards them until they are dead, and they never even hit me. Its so bad I have ...

About NWN it's pretty much true what Saxon said about it earlier. While I think it is better of the two games, it isn't really an outstanding game. It's like the Baldur's Gate games in 3D. While NWN1 was a setback gameplay and story-wise compared to the Infinity engine games, NWN2 seems to bring ba...

Has anyone picked up NWN2 yet? I haven't...waiting for a couple good reviews first. Yes I have been playing it last couple of days. Havent went real far yet, so this is just an early quick impression, might change as I play more. Positives. --Pretty good writing and dialog, not terrible voice actin...
