Actually, I thought Fathamurk was a detour from Book II - it really had nothing much to do with the main quest-line in Book II.Prismatic Maelstrom wrote:Will this add-on be a little detour from the rest of the game or will it be like Fathamurk?

Re: Eschalon Trilogy Post-Mortem
...and more than once I drew the ire of Eschalon fans for trying to add a feature that I hoped might draw in new customers. You mean like that time you were going to add a game rule that gave the player full automap for a 20% penalty to the end-game score? "Ire"? I'm not sure I ever saw a...

Re: Lair of the witch
I'm still not seeing the problem. How many times do you have to visit the section where you find Baizel? Eh, you're right - I was confused by which parts of the Lair I was talking about - you can still get to the north side of Elderoak without opening that gate up. Still, I'd like to be able to ope...

Re: ESCHALON TRILOGY - Q&A (SPOILERS)
Assuming that Malkur is telling the truth... Why doesn't he confront Korren and Erubor about the coming cataclysm? He convinced you. Why this elaborate scheme of death and destruction? Because it isn't coming! Malkur has used his 'Jedi mind tricks' to convince all of the seers and soothsayers in Es...

Re: Lair of the witch
That would solve this problem. Problem? I don't see a problem. Blocking the two halves of the Lair of the Witch from each other for the whole game is unnecessary, and just adds an annoying obstacle to movement around Wylderan to the latter part of the game. Allowing an 'in-game' way to open that up...

But it's repeatable. This is probably enough that it's worth looking in to.Prismatic Maelstrom wrote:Out of hundreds or thousands that haven't had a problem?
This, combined with the problem some Linux people have been having with the sound system... potentially seems to point at the same set of issues.

Re: Lair of the witch
Long answer: they were connected during testing, but the "have you restored Ugolek?" event fires only when you leave by the entrance by Ugolek, which was causing trouble if you took a different way out. Then perhaps the restored Ugolek could also give you the key to open up that gate betw...

Re: Lair of the witch
I went through the witch's lair and crossed the river, came out on the other side. However, I still couldn't open the gate to go further in the lair. I couldn't find a switch and black powder wouldn't do it either. What am I missing? Are you talking about the iron grate to the right of the stairway...

In Book II, the maximum number of 'imbue' enhancements that can be placed on armor or weapons is three - it is almost certainly three 'max' in Book III as well.rayres wrote:How many enchantments can armour have on it? Re: ESCHALON TRILOGY - Q&A (SPOILERS)
There's a fourth possibility: everyone is wrong, and the "cataclysm" can be prevented.
That's the interpretation that I'd rather go with, and would also be the obvious preference of a lot of people who are thinking about 'Modding' a post-Book III scenario.

Re: Eschalon Book 13
Follow-up question: In the first picture, of the starting location in Book I, you'll notice that there are pine trees in the original Book I version. Did the "pine tree" graphics from Book II not make it in to the Book III package? If so, that's further impetus to try and convert all of B...
