Re: Need more flasks
Well, if I happen to run across one of those pendants I might hang onto it for the purpose, but it wouldn't be worth paying the shop price for it.

Need more flasks
The biggest obstacle to playing the Alchemist challenge is: not enough flasks. You'd think there'd be a wholesale distributor somewhere, but you only occasionally see one or two in a shop. It's bad enough if you just want to make potions to consume, but worse if you want to be a Mad Firebomber since...

Re: Why doesn't Korren recognize the Crux of Fire??
...You can still get the quest to get the Crux of Fire. However when you actually take the Crux you don't get the quest to Return to Korren. I cant' say I recall whether I saw the Return to Korren quest, but if I hadn't gotten it, I wouldn't have been able to proceed to the next quest (Destroy the ...

Minor Dialogue bug
Like many people, I start over several times before I settle into the game. In my first attempt, after the murder of Darus, I was offered the dialogue option of reporting the event to the innkeeper, but it never came up again in subsequent play-throughs. I don't think it has any in-game impact, but ...

Re: Why doesn't Korren recognize the Crux of Fire??
This is odd. I'm playing 1.03 on a Mac as well. I too had killed Sparrow before meeting Korren, but when he told me to go see her, I was offered the dialogue option of explaining about her death, and everything went fine from there. The quest to get the gem appeared in my journal, and I was able to ...

Re: Reveal Map spell-suggestion to change it.
This works. The downside is that you no longer see the moving red dots that indicate creatures. It's much easier to tell when your spell expires if you don't have any Cartography, because the map disappears.

Re: Reveal Map spell-suggestion to change it.
That is the case. Like you, I used to think that Reveal Map was pointless, but in playing Book II I realized that it's actually mind-bogglingly useful. The best part is that you can detect NPCs and monsters before they're in your field of view--and before you're in theirs. It's also really good for ...

Is this anything?
There are these walls, apparently enclosing a small squre, at the conjunction of these four map sections, here: http://imgcash3.imageshack.us/img685/402/mysterydj.th.jpg You can see them from all four sections. The only place where there might be an entrance is in Broken Blade, but I couldn't get cl...

Re: [HELP!!] How can I get to the island in Greenriven Lake?
I went there very early and ended up doing a lot of running back to town before I finally managed to finish the place off. This, but I didn't need to run back to town. As long as I couldn't see any red dots on my "revealed" automap, I could camp right where I was and nobody bothered me. I...

Actually, it seems you can put any object into either of those slots. Books, rat meat, whatever. The left-hand slot will only accept reagents.

Technical requirements?
This is probably a dumb question, but I can't find the technical requirements for E:B II listed anywhere. I'd like to know if it will work with my OS before I download it.
Anyone give me a hint?

Plus caves can be pretty damp and drippy, too.
