xolotl's editor has official approval to decrypt the datapak in order to display graphics from the game, but as far as I know no one else does. In preparation for future modding support, btw, I am planning on adding a feature to the editing tools which will let you open a "global" map fil...

Right now the editor doesn't actually redistribute any game assets - it just reads what's available from the game datapak. Once Book III supports mods adding GUI elements, we'll have to figure out the best way of doing that. If I had to guess, I'd bet that we'd just end up with "graphics packs...

Thanks. I have the OS (WinXP) set to show everything, and everything is accessible with other tools. And the directory explore worked fine in earlier versions. Dunno :?

Wondering about the file manager part of the savefile editors. I have saves stored in directories I can't explore to. Neither map nor char editor shows all subdirectories when exploring to find files. Example, I can get to C:\Documents and Settings\username\ but then it doesn't show the Application ...
