Re: Which music title in "Books of Eschalon" is your favourite?

I'll look into but there may not be much I can do. Ironically, if he (or anyone) posts Eschalon music that includes any of the royalty-free tracks that we licensed for the game, they might get an automatic copyright strike by the owners of that music. It's not supposed to be played outside of the ga...

Re: What are you currently playing?

I have been playing some of the new Final Fantasy, but I'm not too much into the storyline. It's definitely more of an R&D type of play through. Not too long ago I finished Might & Magic X: Legacy , which I really liked even though it wasn't well received critically. It felt like a classic R...

Re: Eschalon Engine Games

I totally understand that the isometric look is where our roots are at. I have already been looking at a possible return to isometric after TRC, playing around with engine ideas in my spare time. Working with Unity now has made me realize what an incredible isometric engine could be made inside it, ...

Happy 2018!

Sorry I am a day or so late with my annual "thanks for a great 2017, and hope everyone has an even better 2018" message. But here it is none the less! Although we're not selling as many copies of Eschalon as we used to, we still are and we get new players every week. To all our new custome...

Ironically SpottedShroom, you are definitely one person that I am looking forward to getting feedback from. TRP has technical elements that I feel you might have strong opinions on.

You'll see what I mean.

Re: The State of the Basilisk, Summer 2017

I'm just doing this to annoy you... :) I know. I've been thinking a lot about our "Core Fans" lately, like you PM. The new game is really taking shape, and boy-oh-boy, it is not Eschalon. I mean, I mentioned before that there is something inside that feels "Eschalon-ish" (maybe ...

Re: The State of the Basilisk, Summer 2017

Occasionally? Apart from Fathamurk can you give us some examples of when you've updated your games with new content? Well, in this case it is currently 33% of our games that have had a significant amount of free content added. That should count as "occasionally". We'll see how well the ne...

Re: What *exactly* are the differences between the classes?

I'll inject a comment by saying I've never really liked the idea of "classes", especially in a RPG that is a solo adventure. I don't like systems that say "you're a wizard, so you can't possibly use this bow" or "your a fighter, so healing skills are a complete mystery to yo...

Re: a guide to setup eschalon book 1 on ubuntu 16.04 64bit

Great!! Glad it helped.

To anyone else that comes across this solution, it will likely work with all 3 Eschalon games since they all really use very similar engines.

CB - if you get a fix that works, make a new topic (separate from this one) that identifies the problem and gives a clear solution, and I will sticky it.

Re: Game crashes on startup (Windows 10)

Hmm, I'm out of ideas. The only thing I can do now is offer a bounty: I'll give a free Steam code to our next game ("TRP") to whomever finds a workaround / fix that gets Eschalon (1,2, & 3) to run on the latest version of Windows. The workaround needs to work for everyone, not just you...
