Re: The State of the Basilisk 2018: A Year in Review
This may be a dumb suggestion, seeing as how I don't understand the gaming business (or for that matter any business, I am a lowly wage slave) but can't you use the Zodiac engine to throw together like, uh, a space tower defense game or something for a quick cash grab? Those things are kind of easy ...

Re: The State of the Basilisk 2018: A Year in Review
That said; Zodiac!!! No, seriously, you put it on the shelf since you got bored. Well, don't you ever become unbored? Just blow the dust off and finish it already!!! :D I was just playing this last week. It is still very fun despite it mostly just a partial game with large pieces missing. It's alwa...

Re: The State of the Basilisk 2018: A Year in Review
Eh, 3D is overrated anyway. Lots of games would have been more fun if they had been isometric or straight up 2D instead, and lots of games are awesome precisely because they are not 3D. Like Volgarrr the Viking (2D) and Paper Sorcerer (well, I guess it's 2,5 D but whatever). That said; Zodiac!!! No,...

Removed your YouTube links because we generally don't allow cross promotion with other sites or channels (it actually lowers our ranking to have random links coming form the forums). Awww... :( For the record, I too think that Trump is not the brightest crayon in the box, and if you feel the need t...

I am high-jacking this thread, with this epic debate between Jordan Petersson and Umbrella on the subject of Trumps IQ:

Re: What are you currently playing?
Grim Dawn.
DO NOT!!! start playing it, it is highly addictive - I am frequently neglecting my family and duties because of it. It's like Diablo but way better.
P.S. If you start playing it, despite my warnings, Defiler is the best class (demolitionist + necromancer).

Re: The State of the Basilisk, Summer 2017
So is Zodiac dead? Well, no... but it's showing no signs of life at the moment. The project has been packed up and moved off my development workstation while I focus on the next RPG. I'll likely eliminate references to it on the main website to avoid ongoing queries about it. I'll review the projec...

Re: Kingdoms & Castles
I, and I forgot to add that town square is THE best building in the game (and you only need 1). Holding a festival is a mere 25 gold, and will attract something like 20-40 people, (if you have enough empty beds), perhaps even more, (which would otherwise take years to attract) AND temporary adds 15 ...

Re: Kingdoms & Castles
Ok, after playing some more on frequent raids, I need to add two things: 1. Either, it is harder than it looks, or I am not as good with these games as I thought (and I have beated Alpha Centauri on transcendant iron man, more than once!) 2. Demolishing building projects and shutting down operations...

Re: Kingdoms & Castles
Oh, and some quick tips, especially relevant for early game; 1. To get more wood, before you manage to build forester buildings, click on a tree and find the clickable "cut three" or whatever it says on the square description. The first ten minutes of my play were very confusing "Ok, ...

Re: Kingdoms & Castles
Ok it's out!!! Wohoo!!! Thus, I neglecting my family to bring you my first impressions: * It is very addictive, like all city builders. So, be warned! Do not buy this game is you have an important exam coming up, or just started a new job, or something similar. * It is very self-explanatory, and in ...

Re: Pillars of Eternity II swipe from Eschalon ;-)
To port the entire series over would be a monumental task, but it could be done. Hire a nubile and naive, yet overeducated and very clever intern desperate for any low-paying work and put her to good use. Problem solved! You don't "hire" an intern. You get one to volunteer for the experie...

Re: Pillars of Eternity II swipe from Eschalon ;-)
Speaking of Eschalon, remind me again why I cant get it on android? I have been feeling the need to replay Escaholon lately, but my screen broke, so I connected the computer to the TV, and for some reason the game is tiny tiny tiny on my TV, so I don't really enjoy playing it.
