Re: Basilsik Update 2020
It's wonderful to know the game is still "under development." Am selfishly hoping some day is sooner rather than later.

Re: Spiderweb Software's Queen's Wish: The Conqueror
Queen's Wish is out now. It's quite different from previous Spiderweb games.
So far it has been a fun experience - the usual great writing with new (er, old?) mechanics.

Re: Is Basilisk Games dead?
This is great news BW. I was starting to lose faith that there would be any more games from you
Can only say that the news the project is still an RPG is particularly exciting.

Re: Divination Expert
Have been thinking about playing through the series with your intriguing character. So, quick question is "Did you ever wield a weapon, use Unarmed Combat or use Elemental Magic?" The first guess is that you were totally pure, but it would be nice to know

Re: Divination Expert
You know, that is an awesome challenge you took on! I too got homesick for Eschalon this winter and did a complete play-through of all three games, only my character was a ranger. The Divination expert sounds like a wonderful idea!

Re: The State of the Basilisk 2018: A Year in Review
While it is too bad you have had to scale back on the graphics for the new game, it's certainly not the end of the world. You are obviously disappointed, but just knowing that a game is in the works is great news. When it arrives I'm certainly going to be in line to buy a copy. Actually, I love isom...

I suspect that there are quite a few regulars who are peeking in fairly often. Personally, I really enjoy news from BW about the new game.

Re: The State of the Basilisk, Summer 2017
BW - this is really, really exciting news. Obviously you have a way to go before you have a finished game, but I am absolutely thrilled that your engine is finalized. Content next - sounds like great fun.
One question - is this to be a stand-alone game or a series of books like Eschalon?

Re: A few thoughts from my latest play through
Thought you might be interested to know that I downloaded Book I from the iTunes app store successfully. Don't know if the white squares will re-appear, but the game seems to start up smoothly and looks normal so far.

Re: A few thoughts from my latest play through
I think you've complained about this in the past. Is your Mac fully up-to-date, and are you using the very latest version of Book 1? The Mac is up to date. I just re-downloaded Book 1 and got Version 1.06, which is the version I had before. Strange huh? What is new is that I now have a BlitzMax err...

Re: A few thoughts from my latest play through
I started a replay of Book 1 a couple of weeks ago. Decided to make it challenging by using no magic and making my distance attack Thrown weapons. However, I play on a Mac. The maps covered in white squares is just too painful, so I dropped the idea.

Re: First time finished as a mage
So, the first question is - what is your difficulty level? If you are going hardcore, you need to be aware of Foraging. You will starve to death without it. Also, Repair is nice but is wasted at this point. Any blacksmith will fix your weapons for a nominal fee. You will want Divination eventually, ...
