Re: Trapped in Atrox Deep, and with no earlier savegames
Anyone remember when Book II was patched to stop players using the switch next to the teleporter in Hammerlorne Mine more than once so they couldn't escape? Atrox Deep has obviously been designed poorly and is a good example of how inconsistent Basilisk Games are when it comes to support. People sh...

Re: Avernum: Crystal Souls
Yes, I'm aware of that. I just don't like to USE the character editor. I prefer to develop my characters as I go along in the course of exploring the game. Besides, I wasn't that far into the game that starting over was an issue. FYI you have the wrong attitude. The editor is there to help you reba...

Re: How many times have you finished Book III?
Once. I plan to play it again with another char, but there are sooo many other things to do in life. Including other games to play. I blame the very little re-playability since the game is so short. Dont get me wrong, I like the sleek design, I really do not see the point of more grinding and explor...

Paper sorcerer = awesome
I was surprised to not find a thread on paper sorcerer! It is a good game that runs fine on my shitty 2 ghz computer with beutiful graphics and hand-drawn characters. It is reminscent of old dungeon crawlers like Swords and Serpents (NES). List of nice features; * Nicely balanced * Combat flows good...

If you camp on the goblin beach, you will occasionally be awakened by 3-4 goblins with powder kegs. Need 1 or 2 hits and grantes 320... or was it 420? XP.
Ka-ching.
(Quicksave b4 resting and quickload if you get the wrong kind of goblins.)

Re: How many games have you finished so far?
I will list only cool games, so you think Im cool. 8) In no particular order Double Dragon (on gameboy) Probotector Defenders of the crown (on amiga 8) ) Doom Troopers (with the proper emulator so the music isnt fucked up 8) - most emulators can only handle 4 of 6 channels or whatever, so the music ...

Re: ESCHALON TRILOGY - Q&A (SPOILERS)
You have a sense that passing through these gates may be a one way trip, and there will be no turning back from here. Are you sure you're ready?... Very good idea... Especially since you get such a warning in areas that "just" kill you, like the trapped room in the Castle Dungeon. I was u...

Fatal flaw in the storyline; You say you must prevent the volcano eruption, because it will release candecium dust, which is radioactive. However, radioactivity cause microscopic trauma and celllular malfunction leading to necrosis or if you survive or in lower doses and over time mutations in the D...

Re: Eschalon Trilogy Post-Mortem
I dont agree with you BW. While I am over 30, and grew up on Exile and Realmz and BG, meaning I perfectly match your target audience, it is not nostalgia that attracts me to Eschalon. You see, I am all over the new stuff that comes out. I loved guitar hero and DDR and the WiiMote (especially Red Ste...

Re: Character Walkthrough
Dodge is a lot more useful in E3, as you get +50% chance of hitting (!!!) not ten. Especially good for mages, who do not spend so much in the melee skills and melee attributes. Also, you forgot to mention that you get +1% of "Half-damage" for every 1 point of armor skill above the requirem...

Re: Let's combine the Tower and Dwarven Mines mods into one!
But actually, once there are a couple of mods out there, it is really nice if they are compiled into one.
Ever tried installing mods BG without a guide?
I guess though compilitions invade on the modders rights or something?

same thing only you date some hot dude like... err... Kirk Strongarm? It should be Malkur. Why do you think you went along with his plan? It was because you were madly in love with him. At the end when Malkur summons his craft you join him because you both don't want to die alone. It takes a couple...
