Re: Eschalon: Book II music themes
Ah, thanks for the hint, I never would have tried to extract the "datapak" file with WinRAR or something like that. So if one has the password you could listen to the music, that is nice to know.

Uploading an avatar picture
Hello everyone, the problem is as follows: I have had an avatar picture of a quite decent resolution which I wanted to upgrade. To do so, I uploaded a picture of 110x170 pixels, restricted it to 80x120 pixels (in order to keep the ratio halfways the original size) and changed the format to .png befo...

Eschalon: Book II music themes
Greetings, Fellows! I think we all agree that the music of the Eschalon Book(s) is very important for the atmospheric influence of the game. As discussed in an other thread, Book I and II differ concerning the way the music is stored on the harddisk, which leads to the fact that you cannot (or at le...

Re: Registration Number Again?
I loved the Book II registration system because it meant you didn't have to start over, you could just continue with the plot from where you were. [...]. That is exactly why I do prefer the Book II registration system. By the way, has there been made any announcement concerning the selling price so...

Ah, that is good to know! One reason less to not buy a new monitor.BasiliskWrangler wrote: [...]
My everyday work monitor is a 24" 16:9 LCD. Book 3 looks great full-screen with a proper locked aspect ratio.

Re: HD and widescreen
Okay, here is the full explanation: [...] Thank you very much for the detailed information. I do not have too much knowledge about programming, in fact I do not have any. So I thought it would just be a matter of "checking boxes" in order to get a higher resolution. I own a 19" CRT m...

one of the developers Actually, there's only one developer :) Wow, that is impressive. I thought Basilisk Games is a game developing studio, I never thought it would be a one-man-show. Makes me wonder even more how to create games like these, with so much passion and feeling for the "right stu...

Re: nobody is going to like this camping suggestion...
I think that having a tent in order to camp in one is a very good idea! And I also like the idea to have a whet stone, a repair hammer/needle + thread or an alchemy set in order to be able to use the corresponding skills. Don´t get me wrong: I do not want EB III to become a survival-game, but a dece...

Re: HD and widescreen
@ Kreador Freeaxe: May I ask where do you get this information from? The screen resolution of EB II (not to talk about EB I) is, well, old-fashioned and it really stressed my eyes to play the first part of the trilogy. Now I am planning to buy a new monitor of a bigger size (22") and I fear tha...

Re: Which music title in "Books of Eschalon" is your favouri
I absolutely agree that all tracks are worth listining and do fit very well in the situations and locations. @ Painted Lady: there is a subfolder called "music" in EB I. Unfortunately, there is no such folder for EB II, so sadly there is no way of listening to the music outside the game (a...

Which music title in "Books of Eschalon" is your favourite?
Hello everyone, I would like to know which music title(s) in "Books of Eschalon" is/are your favourite(s). In my opinion, one reason that the EB-series are so much fun is the music. It is really intense and emphasizes the locations and atmospheres very well. I will never forget the moment ...

Shields in EB III
Hello everyone, when finally finding out that there is a parry-mode in EB II and that this mode works quite fine without the use of any shield (which, by the way, annoyed me to a certain extent as I invested quite some skillpoints) I thought about the following: would it not be possible to make shie...

Re: Broken limbs
Thank you for your answers. I agree that it might be a little too frustrating when having to decide which items to drop. And the drawback of not being able to fight at all would result in loading a saved game, at least in my case. Nevertheless, I think it would be nice to have the option of sufferin...

Broken limbs
Hello everybody, I have not been able to find a similar post in this forum, so I decided to create a new thread. The manual says that your character could suffer from broken limbs, but this never happened to me (i.e. my character). So I ask myself if this is due to the fact that he was wearing heavy...
