Trapped in town

OK, call me stupid. I take my character off to the first town to talk to the guy. I accidently click on the chest in his room and take stuff before he talks to me and now I'm his enemy.

But the worst is this ... I wander into the church(?) in town to escape his attacks and I get trapped in a corner where neither character (him or the guy in the church) will get out of my way to leave. How can I reset this and continue using the same character?

I can post screen shots if I'm not making myself clear.

Did you save before going to town?

No I did not (silly me). But I'm more concerned with the fact that my character is trapped in a corder of the church with two characters and a iece of furniture completely trapping all movement than I am with my stupid chest stunt.

I suppose I will just start over.

you could also just kill them to get them out of your way.
