Kill Counter with Bonuses

Post by Aleopheus »

How about a Screen where you can see how many of a specail enemy type you killed.

I remeber an old game where, you killed a few enemies and got the information how this enemy was named, after quite more kills you gain information about the level of this enemy. And so on. After killing a few dozens of them you get information about weaknes and resistances and which wapons will do most damage.

Also in the game "Mythos" there is a bonus for killing 1000 zombies, you will do 3% more critical or more base damage for killing these type of creatures.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to implement some sort of Bonussystem with special bonuses for killing a very big amount of enemies.

For example, killing 100 snakes, or scorpions or spiders will help you resist poison attacks from those creatures, or to spot out safe places to camp. Or getting food stuff out of them. Which parts are eatable and which not.

Yes, that would be great. In addition to in-game benefits (like more damage vs that enemy/monster), you'd get titles - like after killing 50 wolves, you get the title "Wolfsbane". If you want concrete in-game benefits from titles (instead of them being just "fluff"), some titles might increase your reputation towards certain NPCs, maybe getting discounts from them etc.

P.S. It would be great to have a Bestiary section in the journal.
It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
