Dragonlady: Seems to me you might actually do something with that rather impressive collection.

Maybe this should be an option in Book III. Collect books and start up a shop in an empty space in your home town.

Of course, the shop space should actuallybe found free and unused... no funny business, eh? :|

And by the way, just so everything's clear: that includes dragons which just 'happen', all too inconveniently, to have a mild cold at just the time they're scouting for real-estate... .

Avid book collecting won't excuse anyone... .
Okay, you owe me a box of screen cleaner. took me forever to clean my screen after reading your post and laughing so hard I sneezed all over it. It's got melted edges but still works...

Hmm... seems to me it might take a little more than window cleaner to fix this one.

...Then again, of course, if it's only the edges, and they're only melted a little, and nothing's wrong with the screen... I imagine the screen looks much cooler than it did before, and therefore you have me to thank? Eh?

(Always happy to help a dragon create actual screen burn-in.) :)

No idea. I'm no code monkey, but I know forums rarely (if ever) mess with the spacing if you use a code box.

I'm pretty sure the 'code box' uses "PREformated" text - i.e. a 'monospaced' font.

The PRE tag in HTML, with its use of a monospace font (e.g. Monaco or Courier, etc.), maintains things like formatting via the 'space' bar.

In case anyone is wondering, it is possible to find all the skill books just by shopping stores, but not all books show up in all stores. Last I did this it was the cartography book that took the longest to find, it eventually showed up at the inn on the first map.

If you keep checking both the inn at the beginning of the game, and also the inn and general store in Port K you should be able to find them all.

Thank you for adding the recipes to the book list. I'd been thinking of making a list the last couple of days but kept putting it off. :)

Any ideas on where to find which books with the highest probability?

I am still searching for the light armour book and have already finished the Hammerlorne Mines. Finally the "penalty" icon bothered me enough to go hunting for the book.

I've been trying countless times at the general stores in Port K, Eastwillow, Everdale and Edon. Could have bought approximately 15.000 books on swordmanship, mercantilism, bar brawling or divine magick, but no armour at all.

Where should I try my luck?

You were totally right. Even though the innkeeper only stocks one or two books, he had both the armour one and one about piercing weapons, which I've not yet seen before.

Thanks :-)

It seems to me there is a certain amount of luck involved in finding all of the training books. Sometimes I wait and wait for a certain book to show up, and the next play-through the little devil appears multiple times (and fairly early on). There are no guarantees that every book will show up in every game as far as I can tell.

With persistence I think you could get them all in every game, but sometimes that last book takes a very long time to show up! My last book in my recent play through was one that only shows up at the Eastwillow Inn as well (to my knowledge), can't recall for sure which it was though - maybe "Through the Lost Realms".
