female character

Post by dundonalddub »

Hello everyone! I've started a game with a female character 3 times and tossed them. For some reason, they don't fare as well as the male character I'm close to the end with. Not many finding many goodies. Has anyone else tried a female character?

I've got a few in the works, but I'm just at the very beginning with all my characters. My understanding is there's no effect on the game mechanics (other than the stat boost you get at character creation).

My female character is doing great! The dexterity bonus I got at first was just as useful as the strength bonus a male character gets. My character's gender definitely has no other impact on the game and certainly does not affect how many goodies I find. Must be just a string of bad luck you're getting.

I've been using a female characters all the way thru beta and now. Had no problems, of course I haven't tried to wear heavy armor either. I use my brain not brawn to get around... :D

I'm using a female my first time through. I've not had a problem with her, and I really love the character picture!

Using a female char; why not? It's available. I haven't noticed any trouble compared to Book I.

The only trouble I was having with my female character is that she was blonde. (Int 7) ;-)
