Experience for killing General Ghorr

Are you supposed to get experience points for killing General Ghorr? I didn't get any. I'm only asking this because he died from poison from my weapon as he was running away . Any other creatures that died this way I got experience points for.

In Book I poison was how you could kill things without gaining XP. I guess that might have changed in Book II, but you almost certainly won't get experience if he dies from something else like, say, stepping onto one of those lava pools.

Then this looks like a bug because I should have gotten experience when he died from my poison just like the other creatures! So, my final score that I'm about to post is missing that experience. I should have been one level higher. I'll log this in the bug thread.
