I always wondered why you can't see tooltips in your character window describing each skill, attribute and the like. Either to remind you what was that skill about, which combat feat a particular weapon type has, what's the synergy between particular skills and attributes, etc.
Why is that information only displayed in the level up window? There's important information there that should be shown all the time.
Tooltips
Re: Tooltips
Agreed, I hate having to wait to level up to read that stuff. Then when I forget I have to wait for the next level up...
Re: Tooltips
Rereading my post I think it might sound a bit demanding or whiny, which wasn't my intention. So, please, let me expand a bit on this to correct myself.
There's a lot of moments when having that information displayed in-game would be more than welcomed (when purchasing stat/skill boosting gear, deciding if keeping or dropping new loot when the inventory is full or too heavy, etc).
While you can always read the manual to find the desired information there's the problem of new patches making the information displayed there outdated, as it has happened already.
Alternatively, having a kind of wiki inside the game where all that information is displayed would also work nicely (think Civilization, not necessarily as extensive and detailed). The important aspect is having that information easily available to the player inside the game.
Let me add that while it's too late for book 2 it'd be great if it was taken into consideration for the final one. That'd make the game more approachable for new players (or returning ones like myself).

Re: Tooltips
Heh, naw, your tone was fine. I'd like to have that information available more readily as well.
Re: Tooltips
dude, dont worry; you didnt sound whiny at all!
ive had the same thoughts, actually.
since this is not your usual mainstrem rpg-lite, you can easily mislevel your char after having played a coupla dozens of hours.
its as scary as ... as ... its a therapy to get rid of your perfectionism.
or rather mine, not yours. still!
back to topic.
i second your suggestion.
as well as your wording
dont get me wrong, i love this game.

Re: Tooltips
This has been a perennial "wishlist" feature since at least Book I - the ability to, say, CTRL- or Right-Click any of the Attributes or Stats in the Player Stats window to get a description of that Attribute or Stat.kenoxite wrote:I always wondered why you can't see tooltips in your character window describing each skill, attribute and the like. Believe me - it's going to be on the Book III "wishlist".
