Now that I have beaten book 1, I got roughly 39 hours according to steam. Should I expect more play out of book 2 or what?

Book 2 is about the same length, however some challenges like never using Quick Travel or lots of camping can extend game play.

I really feel like book 2 is much longer if you strategic mana user or stealth. If you are straight toe to toe melee fighter then time will pass much faster.
All in all I felt like book 2 was larger and more lengthy than 1

Also the Secret of Fathamurk takes about an entire hour more. Book II certainly has more optional content to increase play time.
