Blocked Passage in Old Mine South of Everdale?

Post by lordhoff »

Hi; I noticed a cracked wall with a passage behind it. Brought two kegs of powder next to it (one at a time) and set them off but no access. How many kegs does it take (providing this isn't an unfinished section)?

I'm pretty sure that the tile that you need to place the powder keg in is occupied by a barrel. Try destroying it before placing the powder keg.
Then make sure that you're on the latest version!

Aha! No need to do so (and I suspect the wall is unblowable). I later found the "jaw breaker" (ha ha that, dead man! :) ) and from there a passage leads to where one can throw a lever that grants access (out).

Which brings up a complaint of sorts: after playing E-I and sometimes having problems seeing enemies through walls, etc I really wished view point was behind the character and that this would be fixed in later games. The side view is just plain awkward.
