[Fan Fiction] The Fall of Blackwater

The Fall of Blackwater

Everything was ready. The Goblin army was already getting closer to Blackwater. They thought the townsfolk and a couple guards would be no match for 45 Hackers, 30 Archers, 5 Warlords and 25 Taurax. A Gatekeeper saw them coming and took instant action: he pulled the lever to close the gates, took some stones from the floor and threw them inside the lever to jam it. Then he rushed to the other entrance and did the same, while the other three Gatekeepers entered the town to defend it. He was soon surrounded by 5 Hackers and 3 Taurax. He managed to kill a Hacker, but he didn't last long. Soon the Goblins were attacking along the south wall and trying to access the town through the abandoned west entrance. The Archers were shooting over the wall, trying to hit anyone foolish enough to stand behind it. The Taurax were the main attack force, trying to break open the walls and portcullis with their axes. They soon opened a gap in the southern wall, and the end began. 105 creatures had an easy job against a few townspeople and some weak Town Guards. The Hackers were a support force, the Archers would help the Taurax at fighting and the Warlords would be the strategic leaders. On the human side, they knew they would be killed easily, but they kept fighting. Siam was able to kill several Goblins and a couple Taurax too, but not much could be made. Soon Blackwater was in Goblin hands and, without Blackwater, the rest of Thaermore would soon fall. But no one knew there was a man in this story, a man who sold the precious Crux of Ages to the attacking force, a man that now lives a good life in Port Kuudad, relaxed, sure that no one suspects anything about him.
