EDIT: The problem with slowness seems to affect all the games I own. What could be causing this?

I don't know your computer system, but having a problem with several different programs is usually a sign of a computer virus. Unless you updated your graphics drivers or did something else similar just before the problem happened.

I'm going to get my computer looked at. Maybe someone more proficient in this stuff can help.

EDIT: It seems that my old computer is just plain too old. It's beyond repair. Seems that I have to get a new one.
