Book II on Parallel desktop 5 error

Hi all,

Did anyone succedd in tryin book II on Paralel Desktop 5 ?
I've tried it on Macbook Pro 2010, mac os 10.6.3 but i have got the following error code when clicking on the "launch gale" button.
EXCEPTION Access Violation.

Any hints?

Ok,
Finally it works with Open GL configured instead of directX...
But it is desesperatly slow!
Impossible to play on macbook pro i7....
If anyone has good performance please tell me.
Looks like i will need to install bootcamp...

Emulation + Accelerated Video = Recipe for disaster. I'm not surprised that you're experiencing slowdowns. I would definitely vote for Bootcamp.

I am running on a MacBook Pro 15" with Parallels Desktop 4. SnowLeopard.

I find that the best settings are to use OpenGL as the rendering engine in fullscreen mode.

Works perfectly.

I tried running on VMWare Fusion 3.02 in OpenGL and the performance was unplayable. Same with the DirectX7 and 9 modes. No problem, I'll just wait for the mac version next week..
