A Couple of Minor Bugs, As Of v1.05

OK, finally got to playing some of the new Book II v1.05, as of this weekend. I've started off with a new character (a Healer) so I could see some of the "new" areas (e.g. the Zoological Gardens).

Anyway, I've seen two, relatively minor (but repeatable) bugs so far:
  1. Hitting the "Escape" key while camping now not only "wakes" my character up, but also now immediately kicks up the 'Game Options' (e.g. Save, Load, Main Menu, etc.) menu window at the same time! (I don't think I ever saw the game do this previous to v1.05 - before, hitting "ESC" while camping would simply wake my character up...)
  2. Now, sometimes after casting an offensive spell (e.g. Fleshboil) with a CTRL-Click, when I try to click another grid-square (without CTRL-clicking!) to move, I will get a beep and a "You must select a target to cast this spell!" (error) message, even though I am not casting a spell and am no longer holding down the 'CTRL Key' when clicking. (Again, I don't ever recall this happening previous to v1.05...)
Anyone else seen anything like this?...

I think you're right. This does sound related to my character only being able to turn immediately after using a feat. It doesn't happen every time, though, which is really odd.

Ditto, especially in my #2 "spell" bug above - doesn't happen every time.

Even the #1 "ESC-key to 'wake up' from camping leading to the accidental opening of the Game Menu" bug doesn't happen every time I try to wake from camping, though for me that one does seem to happen most of the time... :|

Edit: I've also seen something very much related to my Bug #2 above (and to Kreador's 'Feat' bug) - I've also seen instances of "spell lock" with non-offensive spells. What I mean by this is that I'll cast, say, a Reveal Map spell or a Cat's Eye spell (by holding down my CTRL key and clicking in the game window), and then (after removing my finger from the CTRL key) I've tried to click to move - instead, every time I click again, I just re-cast the spell, and I won't move. Again, it's as if I were still holding down the CTRL key, even though I'm not.

This has now happened to me more than once (it just happened to me again with a Reveal Map casting while playing within the past 30 minutes...).

Update: I just had another iteration of the #2 Bug above. I tried to make a Healing Potion - I did this by CTRL-clicking on my stack of Sulfurs (to split one off from the stack) which automatically brought up the Alchemy Mixer window. However, when I tried to place the single Sulfur into the Reagents box in the Alchemy Mixer window, I could not! Same issue as before, I think - it wouldn't let me place the Sulfur into the Reagents box because the app thought the CTRL key was still being held down. I hit ESC which cleared everything out, hit "X" to bring up my Inventory window, and put the Sulfur back in the Sulfur stack. I then tried this same process again, and pretty much the same thing happened. I can't remember what I did, but I somehow got it to successfully work on the third attempt.

So, two possibilities - either something's wonky with the CTRL key on my Macbook, or there is something up with the Book II game app and how it's reading 'sticky' keys. As I'm not the only one seeing this issue, I'm guessing it's the latter.

OK, there is definitely some kind of global 'key sticking' issue with v1.05 of Book II (that wasn't there in v1.04 and before) - I'm guessing one of the 'bug fixes' done for v1.05 has created this new issue.

But it not only affects the things discussed in this thread, but also up to and including things like typing new "file names" for new 'save file slots' (which has now become annoyingly difficult) and using the keyboard to navigate and close dialogue boxes (which now will sometimes take hitting keys multiple times, or holding down a key for longer (e.g. half a second), to execute).

I'm going to update the new Needed Fixes, and Suggestions, for v1.06: LIST thread with this (and other bugs) in the next few days...
