...No such folder seems to exist. Anything else I can try?

It's possible, depending on how you set things up on your machine, that the application didn't go to the master Applications folder but to one under your User partition. In the Finder, click on your User name on the left hand side and select the Applications Folder under that (easiest if you have it set to show trees rather than tiles). If you don't see it there, try Spotlight to find Eschalon Book II, or, from the Finder menu select File, hold down the Control key and select Find By Name and type in Eschalon Book II. It should find the application and it's root folder for you.

All of this is stuff that Apple did to "protect" users from themselves.

I suppose it was not meant to be, since none of that worked. :? Oh well. Thanks for the help.

The last option then is to send an email directly to Apple Support and ask them where the App Store has hidden your application folder.
