I play on my MacBook Air laptop and want to do a custom portrait. I've gone over my files with a fine-toothed comb and cannot find the root folder. Please help.

It should be under:
Library>Application Support>Basilisk Games>Eschalon Book II
Spotlight search for some reason doesn't seem to find it.

Nope. There is no file called Basilisk Games in my Application Support Folder.

Interesting, mine has always defaulted to there.
What OS are you running, that might affect default download locations and such.
And did you buy the game through Basilisk Games, or Steam?

10.7.5 is the Version, and I got it through the App store.

Not sure what to say. I've never bought games through the App store, nor am I on Lion.

It's there, but it's hidden. You have to show hidden libraries. From Apple Support: "The Library folder contains files used by OS X and your apps, including your personal fonts and preferences. The Library folder is hidden. If you need to open it, make sure you are in the Finder, hold down the Option key, and then choose Go > Library."

Gahhh! I found the Basilisk Folder but all that's in there is the Saved Games...

I should have gone back and actually read your initial question. The "root folder" is the folder where the Basilisk Games APPLICATION is.

You don't have an Eschalon Book II folder in your Applications folder?

It's Eschalon Book 2 Saved Games, and it's the only thing inside the Basilisk Games folder.

That's in the Library. I'm saying in your main Applications folder, not in the Library. In with all your other applications should be a folder titled Eschalon Book II. Inside that should be the actual application. That's the folder where mypic.png goes in order to upload your custom portrait.

...No such folder seems to exist. Anything else I can try?
