Both! Keep Eschalon a solo game as it started out.
The Next Game series can be party based up there with Icewind Dale or whatever. I have played and enjoyed both types.
I could be wrong however I think it would be a lot more work to produce a party based vise a Solo game and the time element involved with getting Book III out and in the hands of the public would be reduced if kept Solo.
