Concepts on the Orakur [*** MAJOR SPOILERS ***]

Post by Mod. »

Discuss. Who do you think the Orakur really are, where they came from, or what their intentions are, ect.

As for the mention of Orakur being related to the dwarves by the Fathamurk explorer, because of related symbols in use:

Shina mentioned the Orakur are not from Eschalon, and have been there for a few centuries. As the dwarves have been about for longer than that, I highly doubt they are in any way related.

However, Shina never mentioned if the Orakur have been to Eschalon before then. Maybe the dwarves are favored by the Orakur and were shared knowlege of writing systems, hence the related writing symbols, maybe to keep up with the humans.

Then again, maybe that bears no significance, due to the fact that the Orakur also had signs based on common script in Fathamurk, so maybe dwarven symbols aren't that much more special.

Was the reason people thought they were related in the first place ever mentioned in book 1? I only remember hinting at physical similarities, i.e small.
