The other is that Book III is coming. It will be released. We are just not yet ready to make the formal announcement. Until we get to a place where we feel the interface and overall "look" of the game is in a final form, we don't want to release screenshots.

So, when will the game be released? Let's look at the evidence:

Book I -- 2007
Book II -- 2010
Book III -- 2013 -- This would be a fairly solid guess. I can't promise an exact day or month, but next year should be pretty exciting for all you Eschalon fans. Our apologies to anyone who anticipated a 2012 release.

So you can't actually guarantee that Eschalon: Book III will be released. I mean, how can you release the game if everyone dies in December?

It will become a zombie apocalypse game.

Honestly, I have such a huge backlog of old games to get through anyway, I don't mind waiting for Book III.

Actually, at the rate I'm going, I'll be lucky to have finished my backlog before Project Eternity is released!

Follow-up question:

Have the 'bugs' in v1.05 of Book II been fixed yet?

I know you needed to fix the Book II engine bugs before doing major changes to make the Book III engine, so I'm wondering how far along that process is. TIA!
