I know the previous 2 titles were slow when moving. Now I find myself running so fast it take some time to get up close to something to open it.
Is there a walk button or a toggle to turn off the run mode?
thanks

Well I am not playing 1 or 2 so that is irrelevant. I am just trying to figure out if there is way to slow movement in book 3?

Re: Movement speed question
There is only one movement speed. Your machine must just be running Book III with impressive quality.

Re: Movement speed question
This issue has been reported before, but I can't remember the 'fix'. First try a restart. If that doesn't work, try changing the video driver at the game app's opening menu. You may also want to search the (Book II) forums for people who've reported similar issues - I definitely remember that this issue has been reported before...sapientCrow wrote:ok. yah I am literally flying across the screen. feels like a speed hack.

If that fails, then play on a lower quality computer.

Ah, what's old is new again! I suppose it's appropriate for a 90s-style RPG. You might try some of my favorite techniques from back in the day:
- Press the Turbo button on the front of your case
- Load a specialized TSR program, like Mo'Slo (which evidently you can still buy?!) Note: this will decrease your available conventional memory.

Re: Movement speed question
I've never run into this issue at all.
What I have noticed that once in a while my character moves really slowly. If you camp at that time, the recover bars move more slowly, for the whole time. Walking around a little (less than a minute, generally) always resolves itself, but it's still a little annoying when it happens.
(And, before you ask, I have a pretty fast machine, so it's not a hardware issue at all.)

Certainty: a character-driven, literary, turn-based mini-CRPG in which Vasek, legendary "Wandering Philosopher", seeks certainties in a cryptically insular, organic, critically layered city.
