Anyone Ever Figure Out Monster HPs?...

So, has anyone ever figured out the HPs that the various Book I monsters have?

I think I figured out the HPs of the regular (red) salamanders a long time ago. But, more recently, I've figured out the following HPs, so far:

Fanged Salamander (red) - 9 HPs
Noximander (yellow) - 35 HPs
Fungal Slime - 25 HPs
Bloodsipper - 17 HPs(?)
Thug - 40 HPs

I've never tried to figure out HPs for Goblins, and I've never sat down and worked out Taurax HPs.

So, anyone work out the HPs of some of the other Book I monsters?...

I believe over_cloud9 did some HP stuff in the EB I walkthrough.

Huh. Cool.

I don't think all of the numbers are quite right (for example, I know that Salamanders are HP=9, not HP=10, because you can 'one-hit-kill' them when your melee MaxDamage stat gets up to MaxDamage=9), but they are definitely in the ballpark. That will be a useful resource.

(And, if I get some time later, I'll probably list that info in this thread...)

You can find monsters' HP, along with other attributes, by searching inside the EXE file.

King_ov_Death is correct - the values in the table below are correct, because they're straight from the source (most of Randomizer's values above were pretty close to the "correct" values).

SPOILERS ahoy!

  140 Timberland Giant 300
  300 Spire Guard 400
I intentionally left out a couple of special "hostiles" from this list on purpose. I also left out the bulk of the NPCs (if you want those values, I'll leave it to you, dear reader, to find the way to figure them out...).

P.S. I included Captain Morgan just to show how much he's fallen on 'hard times' in Book II (where's he down to just 1 HP!!).
