The Drunken Lizard Pub

Just as I start the game, in the right box of the status i get a red writing saying "Silent".
My buddy walks slow, and I don't understand why I get that writing, and if that is the reason I walk slow.
Thank for any help you can provide, since I really want to dig in this game

Silent means that other NPCs and monsters can't hear you. It's a good thing. Hide in Shadows is another since they won't hit you.

Slow motion is a problem with some, mostly older, computers. It has been fixed to a great extent in Book 2.

I was wondering about this too. Even with a set of full plate and no move silently skill, it says silent all the time that i can see. Although, now that i think on it, ive never looked to see if it changes when in combat or town.
