I have been following the independent game development over the years and one company or rather a "group" of people have been working on a game that I think you all might be interested in.

It is not "fantasy" as you might know it, but it more closely follows the lines of "Fallout" as a post-apocalyptic style of game.

Now, they may end up picking up mainstream support, but they are in full control.

As an RPG, this game has it all. Imagine Fallout if it were made with today's technology fostered with the direction and care of the past. This is Afterfall. The game is specifically designed as turn based and the development system is off the charts.

Also, the graphics are surprisingly good as well which is only icing on the cake for what this title has to offer.

Also note, they are doing something interesting with the game. The video you see is of a part of the "prelude" which is supposed to be a freely distributed "mini-game" of the upcoming title. The story is supposed to be introduced and tie in with the main game. Just like with Eschalon, I have the strongest of hopes for this game.

Maybe if enough of companies like these pop up, we can enjoy our hobbies and take pleasure in the misery that will befall the "entertainment industry (tm)".
